I loved it when Hawk pointed to the CA on his hat. They caught that full screen on TV. In his post game interview he was such a great ambassador for the University.
Probably a senior. I think you caught a nice moment of reflection, one way or the other. You might contact the sport info peeps at UNI and see if they want to forward it on to the player.
Good job Aggies! I would love to see UCDavis vs NDSU in the championship. They had some good battles against each other back in the DII days. Now go back and smack EWU!
Aggies had more rushing yardage than UNI. A very hard hitting game. Defense becomes even more important during playoffs. Was listening to UNI feed and they noted that defensive stats of Big Sky teams don’t look that good but they realize the skew caused by the offensive schemes.
Tough opponent. Awesome game. Surprised JM threw 2, yes 2 picks. Doss must of had well over 150 yards, LOVED his catch near the goal line. ESPN should have drooled over that one. TT a beast. A different game if they nail another FG. Great when there was a back n forth cheer in the second half. More than puzzled that a party, beer, DJ, video board, ESPN, PLAYOFF GAME, and students only partly show.
I stand corrected. The Northern Iowa postgame video is up. Their coach noted they held Doss to 1 catch in the second half. He felt the difference in the game was their TOs inside the 20.
I’m exhausted! Fun game. It felt like we had chances to put them away, kept them around and it got hairy. We had the ball at the 2 after Doss’ phenomenal catch but settled for a FG. It felt like being up 20-6 and getting the second half kickoff could have put them on their heels. Then the INT that kick the WR In hands at the 5 was the other. Score there and it felt over. We fortunately picked them off after the long return but lost momentum. The other INT was very uncharacteristic and I think led to a TD.
Finally, make the relatively short FG late and it’s over.
Run D was exceptional. Their big TE/WR had some big YAC’s. Run game was solid, pass game good in first half, struggled with pressure in second.
Great shot quad. Reflection on the last game, no doubt. Sr. LB Rickey Neal Jr. from Racine, WI. Reflecting on his last time putting on the Panther uniform.
