Unfortunately, the Aggies have to travel to Laramie to play Wyoming at 1 pm Pacific time on Sunday even though they have a better record, 26-6 vs 22-10, and have a slightly higher rpi, #73 vs #76. So basically the Ags don't have the political pull that Wyoming has and got screwed.
I think the Mountain West is considered a slight step up from the Big West top to bottom but nothing significant in regards to women's basketball. The decision may have had something to do with their attendance. They averaged 2784 at home this year and, although the Aggie women draw well, we don't average that many fans.
This is another game that the Aggies can win but the game will be played in a tough environment.
Yep, over 7K ft I think. I would imagine they are flying then busing in.
If the team that showed up last night, with the energy on both ends (and in transition), shows up on Sunday, we'll give WY everything they can handle. I just looked at their roster...9 players 6'0 or over, but none over 6'2". Pele, Hall and Bessolo will need to play "big" and Bertsch and Anderson will need to stay out of foul trouble. Rebounding will be important. Go Ags!
Like Oregon State, another team with a lot of foreign players. Which means that they hit the boards fearlessly which is not our strong suit; so Pele and Morgan really have to play tough or we could be in for a long day.
