Teams have been focusing on shutting down Sevilla lately and he has had trouble getting open looks.

Given that the Ags spotted the Buffs 10 points in the first four minutes, I'd say that UC Davis has done pretty well sticking with them for the other 16. It helps that they hit 3 of their last 5 trey attempts. This game is still very winnable. Nevada held Sevilla down and UC is doing much the same. I wonder if Coach Les has any plays designed to spring him open, some kind of high screens?

Sevilla is practically in constant motion trying to get open often making a full circle around the half court. Teams with quick, taller defenders are making it really tough for him to get much time for an open look. He's been forced into pretty much a catch and shoot situation without much time to get his feet set.

I've seen that which is why I asked about screens.

Cooper is having a relatively quiet night so far. Rocak and Wilson have over half of the Ags points to pick up for him.

Poor stokes seems snake bit. Can’t get his shot to go down and picked up 4 early fouls. Seems like he needs one easy bucket to get the monkey off his back and become a scoring threat.

Not negative...Ags are hanging tough but things like not getting back on transition defense more than once can be the difference in a game like this...don't want to beat ourselves...

All three of Sevilla's fouls were on blocking calls when he tried to draw a charge. At least one of those was questionable. He's having a really tough game. On the plus side, it's interesting that the rebounds are pretty even despite UCB's height advantage.

80-71 at the 4:00 break. Seemed like the game changed when their big guy went out with foul trouble - they got more athletic and longer and that really bogged down our offense. Bring the big guy back!
