From a Redbird fan on their forum:
"SEMO has 6'7", 6'5" & 5'11" stud receivers all have 60 plus receptions even their 2nd tier receivers are 20 reception all WR are in double digits. That's depth and they rotate their WR's and utilize all of them. RB are committee of 5 all have average of 260 +/- 20yds for the season. Hopefully our LB/DL can get some pressure on QB to help our DB's on coverage still not sold 100 on defensive coverage on a good passing team."
In my opinion, and having watched a little of both, Illinois State will be the favorite, even as the visiting team. They have always been a solid team and play in a much tougher league than SEMO.
I have a friend in our church choir who is an Illinois State grad and we talk FCS (Valley and Big Sky) football.
Athletics: "December 7th will feature a unique opportunity for fans. Due to the timing of the football game, tipoff for the Men's Basketball game against UC Santa Barbara has been moved from 2pm to 5pm that day.
"We're offering fans an opportunity to go to both games for the price of one! Any fans coming from football that show their playoff ticket at the box office of the University Credit Union Center will receive a FREE general admission ticket to the UCSB game immediately following football!"
Is there a plan to hand out tickets to students? I just bought four tickets for me and my cousin's son. Not sure who the other two tickets will go to, but we'll figure it out.
Hmm, I didn't see that option. Maybe that's an option for Team Aggie members or season ticket holders? I'd gladly buy student tickets if there is a way to still pick up the tab for some kids.
I just checked the ticket sales for the game and it's confusing. We are Team Aggie members and season ticket holders but it seems like you can only select a ticket price and then you are assigned seats. We are usually able to select where we want to sit but the site isn't given us that option. Has anybody else been able to select where you want to sit?
