I agree. I still can't understand what the NDSU coaches were thinking since the OL of NDSU seemed to be manhandling the Montana DL in the OT periods prior to the gimmick play. Why not stay with your strength and run the ball in from 3 yards out?
There are no college football games this Saturday. There are two NFL games (1:30 and 5:15). On Sunday, there are 14 NFL games. So it makes total sense that the FCS would choose to have their title game on Sunday at 11 a.m. Like why not do it on Saturday? I'm sure there's some overlap between people who watch the NFL and would also watch the FCS game. Just seems like a stupid choice to hold it on Sunday against the NFL.
really, really dumb and stupid. Who really decides this? NCAA, ESPN? Does City of Frisco or whomever manages the stadium (I think naming rights were sold to Toyota), or Frisco Chamber of Commerce, e.g., have any input? My hunch is that ABC/ESPN controls this for all intents and purposes.
NCagalum. You are spot on. Saturday would be a great day. The NFL controls Sunday. If the NCAA wants/needs more money then make a great business choice versus a stupid one. I guess this goes to show why the BCS is no longer controlled by the NCAA!
