They only announced student tickets yesterday (or Monday, I forget) so there might be some reserved student seating. But wow, the season ticket holders must have all jumped on the presale
That guy started out a bit dry, and I wasn’t sure what to think about a guy that is using sheets as drapes (I might have done that when i was a student, lol). But I like his analysis. Funny that he considers us a run oriented team. Reminds me when we had manzan and everyone was talking about Sucs passing game and our running game. The big question is whether we can get to Barriere and slow down the eagles passing game.
that is good news. Gilliam just adds another dimension to the offense. He is an excellent receiver added to his running shiftiness. I think he just gives more confidence to the QB as an outlet, pass protector, etc.
Eastern isn’t as big on the defensive line as they were last time we played, I think we win the battle between our offensive line and their defensive line, if we run right at them. Pretty good pass rush.
Their linebackers aren’t big either. Having Ojoh out will likely help.
Their offensive line looks pretty good, that will be a battle.
I think this is a big game emotionally for the Aggies. EWU has had our number and they've been the source of some very disappointing loses for the Ags. Collectively, I don't think the Aggies as a team have completely forgotten the nature of those loses and, although Hawk never talks about payback, I think the team will want this one very badly. There's a lot riding on this game in terms of overall respect in the FCS and a possible playoff spot.
Aside from the team, as a fan, i really want to see Best humiliated. I usually don’t have disdain for an opposing coach, but i just have never respected the man, especially after he left his first string in when we were getting hammered.
Second that. After the crocodile tear show last time, I’d love to see doughnut boy cry for real. Such a poor sport with a clouded moral compass on and off the field.
Did they limit attendance to CA residents ? That's what the A's are doing. Should put a dent in the number of Astros fans when I go this weekend but then again they'll probably cheat just like their team.
“ UC Davis has the best defense EWU has faced. The Aggies are allowing 2.9 yards per rush and have picked off five passes in four games. Linebackers Cole Hansen and Connor Airey have combined for 10.5 TFLs, three sacks and three passes defensed, and UCD is averaging nearly four sacks per game. The offense, like EWU's defense, has been inconsistent, but the run game is explosive. The winner of this one is in prime position for an at-large playoff bid; the loser will have two losses and could miss the dance.”
“The first thing (about Barriere) that comes to mind is poise in his leadership capabilities,” Best said. “A lot of the stuff physically hasn’t changed a ton, it’s just how he gets to the point of making reads, staying in the pocket, keeping his eyes downfield. A couple years ago he might have taken off a few times (Saturday) a little sooner than he did.
“He’s extending his plays with his arm more so than probably his feet. And I’ll say it again, (if he is) not the best player in America, which I feel that’s my vote, he’s one of the best. He’s dynamic, and he understands the offense.”
“ Lan Larison fears no man in shoulder pads, nor any cattle with a nasty disposition.
Trent Tompkins competes with the sole focus of getting past guys who are trying to pulverize him, destination end zone.
The UC Davis football team is on the brink of advancing to the FCS Division I playoffs this shortened spring season, thanks in part to a pair of spectacular freshmen who can leave their chatty coach a bit speechless in describing their efforts.”
And perhaps another freshman on offense deserved mention, CJ Hutton made the first and biggest play on the game winning drive. He’s another freshman who should get the ball.
