If Montana State can finish this game with a complete blowout of Montana, I think it could help the Aggie playoff chances because it makes our loss to MS not look so bad and it makes Sac's narrow win over Montana not look so good but, if we take care of business today and upset Sac, we don't need to worry about it.

Montana's coach thinks that kind of "dirty" play is acceptable. It continues to happen with his teams because he doesn't coach against it.

Yes, The Toom could be a mud bowl too. I remember it was kind of a source of embarrassment that we were hailed as a top agriculture school but we couldn't keep grass growing on the football field. :scream:

This team is at their best when they get out and run and play fast.

I think there have been several games at Hughes Stadium over the years. I forget the exact year but, the most memorable one for me, was the game that was played in deep mud and driving rain with 6 inches of standing water in the center of the field. We won the game with a long TD bomb to Onomo Ojo. It was the worst playing conditions I ever saw for a football game. I'm sure the field was ruined.

I agree that Sac's LB's are one of their defensive strengths. I've watched parts of several Sac games and their defense is very aggressive especially their LB's. They swarm to the ball and gang tackle. Their DB's are good also. They have speed and athleticism. It won't be easy to go deep on them but we haven't gone deep very often this year anyway.

Sac is going to come in very fired up and aggressive. I would imagine that we may have some plays dialed up to take advantage of their aggressiveness with our short passing game. We've done a good job of protecting Hastings this year and we'll need to do that today so that our receivers have enough time to find the creases in the Sac pass defense. I don't see us breaking big plays against their D but I sure hope I'm wrong!
