Maybe they’re lining up bigger deals before they go for crowd funding. Cache Creek has always been hands off for development for the various schools except the chancellors office. I’ve always thought they would be a natural to support athletics, especially since campus has supported their needs on an advisory level.

Aggie Ascent has a website, https://aggieascent.ucdavis.edu/vision, but i personally have not seen any solicitations for donations. Maybe they’re still in the bid mode with contractors.

Paying for MAC teams to travel across the country? Ouch. Charter a 737-800 is going to cost somewhere around 150-200 K one way. Add hotel costs and other expenses and Sac will be dishing out 500K per game to the visitors.

I’m not exactly sure, i think it’s by academic year but not positive. I do know that we are just now making our Champion Aggie donations now for next season. Edit, i see Dr Mike clarified it as fiscal year.

You need to listen to Tim on this. He’s very clear about the current needs and how the funds will be used. He talks about it at the coach’s luncheon, podcasts, FB posts, etc. My wife has been so impressed with the direction the program is going under Tim, that she insists we double our donation this cycle. Go Ags.

How do you expect the Ags to elevate their game and move towards fbs if you refuse to donate now as some folks have suggested. Get the check book out and be part of the solution!

I don’t agree with that. During the Gould era, things were definitely stagnant. But Hawk got us going in the right direction and with Plough at the helm and Rocko’s help, the games have been fun to attend. Attendance has gone up, donations have gone up, and we actually are making a dent in NIL funding. Yes we need more big time donors. But success (at the fcs level) will build success and make us relevant for the big move. And we need the updated facility to be fbs anyway, unless we want to share Cal Expo with those other guys, lol.
