  • Week 3: San Diego (1-1) @ UC Davis (0-2)
    https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/story/2022-09-10/toreros-let-one-slip-away-to-cal-poly-28-27

“USD unveiled an offensive twist, using former Iowa State quarterback Re-Al Mitchell in tandem with starting QB Judd Erickson. Mitchell completed two passes, both for touchdowns, one to Erickson.”

Apparently Mitchel is a dual threat qb that can scramble. Interesting, one of his TD tosses was to the starting qb Erickson.

Blue, and the jacks had a PAT hit the upright and bounce in. That’s another swing play that ended up changing the complexion of the game.
  • Week 2 Big Sky Scores
Looks like SD has some fire power.
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
This was winnable if our qb was tossing aces.
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
Holding gives their qb big gain. No call again
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
Our D and Gilliam keeping us in the game.
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
Lets give another qb an opportunity.
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
Well fellas, Hastings just is not the guy. Too many poor tosses.
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
Jack D is really tough. But too many dropped passes. Need to catch those!
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
Jacks getting away with hold after hold, no call
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
I’m getting tired of hearing “Cal Davis”
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
Lets hope that’s his last pic for the game. Can’t give the jacks a short field like that

Thanks for stopping by and for the preview!

Not sure when kdvs stopped, maybe 3-4 years ago. But like i said, they were fresh and the action coincided with the broadcast.

Brings up a pet peeves with me. I like listening to the radio broadcast when I’m watching the game live. KDVS was the best. Their broadcast was synced perfectly with the action. 1140 has a big broadcast delay by about 1-2 plays. I sure wish they would sync it to live action.
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
Ok, thanks fellas. I have espn+, so should be covered. I’m traveling next week so might be watching it on my ipad. Too bad our web master doesn’t have this on the UC Davis site.
  • Week 2: UC Davis (0-1) @ South Dakota State (0-1)
I don’t see a link to watch this game on our schedule. The jacks have it as a pay to watch event. Any other options to watch it?
  • Week 1: UC Davis (0-0) @ Cal (0-0)
Just now regrouping after spending the day at Cal yesterday. Great turnout at the alumni tailgate and seeing old friends. Enjoyed hanging with Dr and Mrs Mike. $45 to park, ouch!
I thought Hasting’s did OK, although it would have been interesting to see Dixon get some snaps. And when Thompson is in, Cal had that figured out every time with the wildcat. Every other opponent will as well.
The guys played Cal tough. Hastings is lucky he only has 2 pics. Easily could have been 4 or 5. But he was throwing into coverage at every toss. Credit Cal. Their secondary was tenacious and they had real good speed, like that pic in the endzone when the Cal defender raced over to grab the pic. That was a razor sharp pass.
The Cal QB started off slow. Heck, how many 3 and outs did we get early? But then he got his mojo going. He’s going to be a really good QB for them. And the RB, #6, that dude has some real speed.
I see tons of potential for this team. Too bad were going from the frying pan to the fire.
  • Week 1: UC Davis (0-0) @ Cal (0-0)
Great turnout at the tailgate. Tons of positive energy for the Ags. Go Aggies!
  • Week 1: UC Davis (0-0) @ Cal (0-0)
This QB situation is unsettling, to say the least. Reminds me of the time we were prepping for Cal and our starter left for the ministry and Randy Wright ended up playing. I know Hawk is going to put us in the best possible position to win. I hope we’re getting the guy who was the best in camp. Is Newman really gone?
