  • Facilities Master Plan Release
Let's see how much ground they break in the spring. Hay is not in the barn -- secure the money -- get the permits and plans updated and proceed, on time. Once the contractors get going, it's just a matter of time.

Good to hear Flush talking about 'making this a Davis crowd' for Causeway.

Over/Under on the build time for the UCDHS Club/Suite package?

18 months? 2 years? I know how long it takes for Davis to get through a set of plans - too much red tape for one lifetime, I'll never build on that campus again, hopefully it's more streamlined now.

All the facility upgrade proposals look proportionate and reasonable, and they look great! Excited for the baseball field and stands getting a nice overhaul.

Football, it's basically a new Club/Suite level above the West side press booths. The Suite balconies are nice, very nice -- this is what attracts donors.

...and to that, Plough consistently referring to Davis as an '8 Win Team' in his Sac Press Conference, effectively counting the Mercer game, even though it officially does not count.

    Man, hot timing.
  • 2025 FCS Playoff Prognostication
It's interesting the write up talks about the Massey ratings -- while the Hornets are currently unranked in the FCS Coaches Poll, but have 13 votes in consideration of being ranked Top 25.

The strength of schedule / opponent is atrocious for the Hornets - nothing you can do about that, but Davis has played a tougher schedule with Mercer, Washington, Southern Utah, Northern Arizona, Montana State and Sac on their schedule. One could argue Davis has won 3 of those games, but only 2 count.

Momentum has to be on Sac's side right now, just in terms of game results - Davis has dropped 2 of their last 3.

Won't make much difference here pretty soon - when we're in the same conference.

Need to get back to scheduling a Nevada, SJSU maybe Cal every year. While I love the road trip to Dallas next season, UCLA the season after, it's a better trip for the local fanbase to just go play Nevada.

I almost feel like with Pinnick's elite ability to extend the play, Plough gets greedy on pass pro, and just sends another receive out off of chip blocks. I don't think we get away with that this week. Want Pinnick protected, period, let the receivers work.
