For those who don't remember Dalton Turay was a FB for the Ags from 2011 to 2014, I personally loved watching him block - he did a lot of dirty, tough work for the running game.

Taylor was a TE for Davis 2010-2013, basically TE1 in 2013. Hails from up around Dan Hawkins country (Bieber, CA) in McArthur, CA, NE of Redding a bit in Shasta County.

Dalton and Taylor played in the tail end of the Biggs years and into the early Gould years so go easy...put in a lot of work and didn't have a ton of wins to show for it.

2010 UC Davis: 6-5 Overall, beat San Jose State 14-13, won at North Dakota, won a close one late at Poly, beat Sac State in a close one.
2011 UC Davis: 4-7 Overall, got to play at Arizona State, @ Hawai'i, L to Humboldt State, beat Poly, beat Sac State.
2012 UC Davis: 5-6 Overall, L @ SJSU, W @ South Dakota State 12-8, beat Weber, lost a tough one to Montana State at home 41-48, L @ Cheney 28-31, beat Sac State 34-27
2013 UC Davis: 5-7 Overall, L heartbreaker @ South Dakota 7-10, played @ Nevada, whooped by Portland State at home, whooped by Montana at home, lost vs. Poly 16-34, beat Sac 34-7.
2014 UC Davis: 2-9 Overall, blanked @ Stanford, played @ Colorado State, the game where Prukop and Montana State dropped 77 points on the Aggies at home, beat Poly 48-35, lost to Sac 30-41.

I think the theme here is this was a tough stretch for the program and for Bob Biggs - they were consistently playing two FBS teams a season to raise money, they had fully transitioned but the program was sputtering to gain any kind of consistency in the FCS.

To that effect, Dalton and Taylor played in an era that helped build the program we all see now.

Favorite food spot in Davis when they were students?

Wasn't able to find it. It was a basic advertisement, very respectful - just though it was funny they paid to run it during the Championship broadcast.

Man, not that we should be in the business of punting, but if we can't find a guy for next season who can consistently murder balls - I'll be disappointed. Davis is a special teams paradise. From Colton Schmidt to Colby Wadman to Daniel Whelan - we should have a NFL quality punter on the team at all times.

I think Davis has to evaluate their own situation first and foremost. We either have a financial plan, a build plan, a transition plan, and this has all been discussed in detail with the affected programs and donors or we don't and we're just blowing smoke.

Man, not a great look for Sac bringing in such a troubled player. Clearly talented, hope he cleans it up and doesn't jeopardize his freedom or worse.

Last offensive lineman we brought in from Northern Oregon was Riley Gallant, a real road grader out of Central Catholic, was one of Gould's guys, but finished up under Hawkins. Had some huge blocks in the 2018 quarterfinal game in Cheney on that go ahead scoring drive in the 4th quarter.
