I think the big question a lot of us had over the last season was "what the heck happened to the offense?" Outside of Lan, the offensive production was not spectucular. Now Plough has touted the return to shredville, but do we have the guys to make that happen?

It's unfortunate that game impacted him to the degree that he felt he needed to step down. That being said, I'm glad that we have a coach in place who won't have qualms about going against another conference coach.

Yeah, I wasn't surprised at all by this. Now I don't personally know Hawk, but everything we've every heard from him is that family is before everything else. I think the "Hawkins Bowl" last season was likely tough for him.

I think MH will be the guy again this season. They've been using him in promotional material online and if I had to guess the rest of team would back Miles as the guy for this season.

In terms of receivers, I just went back and looked through the stats since our last season with Doss and we really haven't had anything close to a go to guy at WR. KD had 1338 yards and 9 TDs in 2018, then a sharp drop off in production with the next closest guy being Khris Vaughn in 2019 with 756 yards and 9 TDs. It coincides with Maier graduating.

I haven't seen a timed speed anywhere, but he put up gaudy numbers as a junior; 137 tackles, 20 TFLs, 6 sacks in 12 games. I don't think pure foot speed is the most important trait in a LB, but it looks like he has a nose for tackling the guy with the ball which is certainly important.

Having a large group of good QBs is not a bad problem to have. It's no secret that I think we need to be fielding a more complete QB and the best way to do that is by getting more guys in to compete.

5 QBs in the last 2 recruiting classes seems like... a lot? I mean, this has to mean that Plough thought the crew we had was unsatisfactory to a degree.

Not to mention Wrighster from last class. 3 QBs with NFL pedigrees.
