The last 2 JCs he coached had immediate success. He might not have a ton of experience at higher levels, but he seems to be doing something right. I'm willing to see what he can do (not that we have much of a choice). With how much he has worked with Hawk in the past this isn't really a surprise hiring in hindsight.

I pretty much expect at this point that Cody will be joining the staff (obviously I don't actually know or anything). Dan has worked with his son in the past and him working at LAVC with Coach Tucker seems like it would be a convenient move for him. I don't think he should be OC or anything, but he could coach QB.

To answer my own question, it was Paul Wulff is has most recently been with Sac State.

With that many crossovers at the same institutions I would say it's very likely that they have worked together before. In fact, yes... Tucker was on Hawk's staff in Colorado and Boise State.

Well we did just offer Ahkil Crumpton from LAVC recently.

We have a defensive coordinator. LA Valley College HC Robert Tucker reportedly is the new DC. LA Valley went 11-0 this last season.

Reading up on him he has ties to Boise State, Colorado, Willamette, the USA National Football Team, and has coached internationally (France). Sounds like a Dan Hawkins type of guy! Welcome Coach Tucker!

You're good. Trimble looks underrated to me. He has size, speed, skill, and hits like a truck. I would be happy if he did commit.

I don't know if Rayas has committed, but I think we may have made him an offer. It at least sounds like we did to me. I still think the commit from last night will turn out to be Trimble. The area code from McCann's tweet matches Westlake Village and Trimble's coach liked the tweet. We'll see though.

I found this twitter post this morning. I guess this means that we gave him an offer? In just 7 games this year, he had 131 total tackles (that's an average of 18.7 per game), 16 tackles for losses, and 4 sacks.

Coach McCann says the area code of the commit is 805, which would lead me to believe that we landed Cam Trimble. Big time LB.

Haven't found anything on our new commit, but Shane Irwin did commit to San Diego State.

I read that article this morning as well. Pretty astounding that he said he wouldn't change a single thing he did here at Davis. I don't expect him to sit there and say "my coordinators were jokes" but c'mon man, you wouldn't change a single thing? To me that makes it more than clear that it was time for Gould to go. Not only was he not a great in game coach, but he was delusional to this fact. Time to move on though, Hawkins is here and we can only hope that he is able to turn this program around.

He hasn't committed yet or anything, but ATH Mason Hurst commented on Harmon's announcement talking about being a "package deal". That would be a 2nd huge get for CP.

Haven't seen anything about offers, but we did have a couple of visits that I have seen tonight. Both from Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, QB Jalani Eason and LB Tysyn Parker (Both 3 star athletes).
