Kennesaw State fans are freaking out on twitter saying that they should be ranked #2 due to the fact that SoS doesn't really matter when you pass the eye test... does the eye test still count when you're playing a 2-7 division 2 team (Clark Atlanta)? Like I said in other threads, KSU might be good, they might be really good but they haven't really been tested at the FCS level this season.

Which being a 3 seed is huge... It puts us in the opposite bracket from NDSU :lol:

Unless one of your kids names is Ron Gould, I doubt they are responsible for the woes of this team.

To each their own. I don't think there are wrong opinions here. Just from what I've seen from the Aggies and the Lumberjacks this season, I'm not particularly worried. Got to take each game seriously though.

I think their passing defense numbers are a little bit misleading by playing UTEP (currently rated the worst FBS team by massey with the worst offense), Weber (have had an anemic passing offense for a majority of the season), and Cal Poly (who doesn't throw, but still managed to put almost 100 yards up on them with 3 completions). Good teams like EWU still put up 300+ passing yards on them.

Pretty close to what Massey is predicting. They have it at 44-21 Aggies. If the Aggies are playing at the top of their game I don't see a NAU on a 3rd string freshman QB scoring 21, but we will see. I'm hoping that the Aggies come out guns a blazin and get out to a nice 1st half lead, as fun as the comebacks are.

For those interested, Massey is currently giving the Aggies a 91% chance of winning this game on a neutral field, bumps up to 94% at home.

Bring it. They won't have the crowd noise to help them in the first half. We'll just have to drop 2 second halves on them instead.

They did say some nice things about Doss, Maier, and some of the other receivers as well... but they also cried that there should have been penalties on Davis on dang near every play while Montana couldn't possibly have done something deserving of a penalty. By the way, I don't have a problem with Hawk taking a penalty. Get fired up about blatant attempts to injure another player and the refs just don't do anything about it. Defend your players.

The commentators were truly bad. It was totally inconceivable to them that Davis might be good.

Yeah we just have to keep winning. NAU and Sac have been especially terrible as of late so I like our chances there. We can't take our foot off the gas peddle for those games by any means, but we SHOULD win those 2. EWU, even without Gubrud, will be a huge challenge. They are like the Aggies in that they can gouge in on the ground or through the air. Winning out would be big time for this program.

Funny enough, someone recently did research on this on AGS and found that the AGS poll more reliably picked the seeds than the coaches poll over the last several seasons.

Kennesaw State is a relatively new program only in it's 4th season. They were okay their first 2 seasons but exploded onto the scene in their 3rd making it to the quarter finals before losing to Sam Houston State. I believe that they run a variation of triple option on offense. I just scratch my head seeing they are playing quite literally the worst of the worst in FCS and getting rewarded.

Kennesaw still kind of baffles me. Are they undefeated against FCS? Yes. Have they been blowing teams out? Yes. Have they played a tough SoS similar to a lot of other teams in the top 10? Hell no.

I get that some voters might be being cautious considering this is our first season being back in the swing of things, but as Brian (from HERO Sports) said, Davis has no FCS losses but is ranked behind 6 teams that do... what can you do? Just keep on winning.

Aggies remain at 3 and 6 respectively in the AGS and STATS polls this week. We finally cracked the top 10 in the coaches poll coming in at 9.

Needless to say HERO Sports does not agree with the coaches...
