It's always fun seeing the Montana kid thread on the Bobcat board. Lots of decent kids in that under recruited state play at Montana Tech.

As someone who also follows Cal, an immediate comparison I get is how Cal's #1 receiver this season was lightning fast and talented and they use him on kick returns but he is a lot shorter than most FBS /P4 WRs. Combine that with their great QB but like Pinnick a true freshman who makes mistakes and you'd have some ill-timed picks.

If there's anyone in the portal maybe from a lesser scouted area, that might be the mold.

It's all hypothetical because Illinois State is good. Sure we would probably have defeated Villanova, but the results show that it wasn't just us playing poorly. Illinois State played well.

I'm cheering for the Redbirds. You don't potentially get this far by luck especially if all games are in the road. I think the Bobcats beat them in the final.

it didn't help that season ticket holders were able to buy up to 8 tickets so it never reached the general public. A regular sale was canceled.

Honestly Illinois State has been really good on the road this season and they play in the MVFC so I'm not terribly surprised. Any team that wins 2 and soon to be 3 games on the road in the playoffs is no fluke. I hope they beat Villanova.

I don't quite agree. While I don't want to get into an economic discussion. The trend lately is to get sales from premium experiences. At this point that is where the money is. Not just in Davis but as whole.

This game feels like the reverse of Rhode Island where the game is still in reach somewhat but feels over.

I can't complain though. I would consider this season a success.

I think if Illinois State wins Nova would get the early game. If the Ags win, we might get the night game but I'd root for an afternoon game for better attendance and selfishly because the Kings play at 7pm and since I'm a cordcutter I can only listen to the radio...although my wife and I have a hotel and shopping date so maybe it won't matter since they have ESPN.
