  • Week 11: Eastern Washington @ Davis
I wonder what the student turnout will be? Yesterday was a holiday for them? And many don’t have Friday classes. Might be a little sparse
  • MBB: Eastern Washington (0-1) at UCD (1-0) 2 pm Friday 11/12
I had heard it had to do with travel issues, so I’m thinking they want to get out of town early. They wouldn’t fly in today and hit the floor at 2:00.

We’re listed as 7 point favorites. Seems like a high line for an early season matinee. I’ll be there for some of it - have a football teammate returning today after 40 years away and trying to find a sliver of football staff time to visit. I think we’ll have to bail early to do that.

I thought the defense was improving on containment after the first couple drives. It’s one thing to practice vs scout team, another to see it at full speed. Hopefully, that experience helps this week.

Discombobulated? Where have we heard that before?

as an old guy who lives 90 minutes away, this works great for me. Reverse commute post game along the back road.

sounds like it’s early to accommodate EWU travel issues. Also, I guess Davis schools are out Friday so maybe larger family crowd

am I the only one realizing the EWU basketball game is at 2:00 on Friday? Thanks , ESPN+. So much for a big home crowd

if we can get our shooting on track, this could be a pretty solid team! Like the contributions of the new guys at a tough place
  • MBB: Aggies at Utah State 6:30 pm Tuesday 11/09
That’s as good a non conference win that I can remember in quite some time! Manjon and Pepper come through down the stretch
  • MBB: Aggies at Utah State 6:30 pm Tuesday 11/09
2 guys with 4 fouls with 11:00 to go….that might hurt!
  • MBB: Aggies at Utah State 6:30 pm Tuesday 11/09
Impressive finish to half after falling behind 10 out of the gate. That was without much of a contribution from the field from Pepper and Manjon. Nice to see contributions from the new guys.

    Again, no Shaw or Ba?

11.5 point underdogs, not unexpected. We’ll see if we can ride to the challenge

like in the spring. Lost the scoring opportunity when we failed on Fourth and were down 16-0 early.

pretty sure he left before receiving his degree, but I might be wrong

I don’t mean it as a negative; I think the coaches just see the record of a big sky team and keep moving us up. I just don’t think we’re better than all but 3 teams.

As for Sac, they have had an easy schedule but they have big wins (beside UNC) and a road win over Montana. That’s easily top 10 resume
  • FCS Football Polls Week 10
I think we’re as overrated as Sac is underrated

having those teams beat each other up, opens up a potential spot for a BSC team. NAU is out, and Portland has Sac and EWU upcoming so they are likely out. Could the other top 5 all get in?

so, do I know this former player? Maybe sits next to you and me at Aggie Stadium?
  • Week 10: UC Davis @ Northern Arizona

cal had 25 players out due to COVID. There was reports that several players had negative tests but city of Berkeley denied them traveling to Arizona. Wilcox was definitely pissed after the game and made vague comments about how they have to deal with city on the issue
  • Week 11: Eastern Washington @ Davis
The game plan for spring was run-centric. 42 carries for 218 yards, so 5.2 yards/carry without Ulonzo. They ran 20 more plays than us, so we weren’t able to keep the ball away from them. If memory serves, we tried a fourth and goal early, and we’re stopped - we HAVE to get points every time down there, TDs if possible. A turnover or two should would help!
