In all fairness, a lot of guys dominated 3-win Oregon State!

But it’s a big blow. Not sure he can start at that next level, but we’ll see. Hate to see him make an at-best lateral move like Squire.

that 51 USF team he played on has to be in the top 5 most talented teams ever. 3 NFL hall of famers of that team! St. Clair, Ollie Matson, Dick Stanfel and Antioch's own Gino Marchetti. I believe 4 others on that team played in the NFL. crazy

I’m not sure what other academic requirements for admission(besides undergrad 3.0) into UC grad programs, but I suspect he doesn’t meet them - hence the reason for another opportunity. Much harder to qualify for grad admission than undergrad

seems like he could be a real mentor to Cody as well as the young receivers

I think when we played in Reno, we were looking at spots like Monterrey Pennisula College. That wouldn’t have been viable in 2020. Might have to give up a home game

Another interesting foster is Saint Peter’s who knocked off Kentucky. 5 players from Africa. I just heard someone on the radio talking about Africa as the next recruiting hotbed since the NBA has started a serious developmental program. Again, another area Private schools can cash in more easily than public

USF is in the tournament for the first time since 1998; they have 7 transfers (not counting JC players). I think a lot of middle majors, especially private schools, will follow that model.

    Sounds like a great pickup.

BYU beat the Beach 93-72 in the NIT. That’s the fourth place team in the WCC vs our regular season champ

good luck to him. guessing the school didn't turn out to be a good fit for him, since there seemed to be opportunities for a wing the next couple years.

we played at TCU in 2006. Can’t believe that was so long ago!
  • Men's 2022 Big West Basketball Tournament March 8-12
Seems like the gap between Big West and other western mid majors WCAC and MWC is getting wider.

UCSB was close to pulling off the big upset as were our women.

Unfortunately I think Fullerton wins. I don’t like that group. Would rather see Monson win

can’t blame CSUN kids; that program is a train wreck. Surprised at UCSD although they seemed to regress this year. Their 3 are with R-Jr or Sr, who maybe need a grad program to finish eligibility
