I was watching the replay today; we were really off the first 15 minutes. Overconfident? Missing Beasley’s steady presence? Who knows. When Pepper got hot, that was quite a show. Plus the defense got much better and ball movement improved.

I did like Bakersfield’s floor. And the free chic-fila for 2 missed FTs was a cool promo!

I know they were depleted, but Bako seems to have really regressed since joining the conference.

a lot of that was Anigwe’s 6-12; else we were 12-16 which is respectable. Angiwe had been solid before the last two games. Hope he gets back on track since he’s been getting to the line ALOT

I believe he’s 11-13 in FGs the past 2 games! Vs Poly he was going up strong with no pump fakes. He was also getting good feeds from the guards

looks like he’s struggling from the line, 5-10

    Wow. Quite a run!

I’d like to see Borba get some minutes and try to get his confidence back

I have grandkids here so can only follow on live stats. 18 point lead is about what the doctor ordered.

I don’t see many stats for Beasley and it seems like it hasn’t shown on the court much. Stats show 2 minutes played. Anything up?

7:00 tip off. We’re 8 or point favorites. Of course we were 9 point favorites vs Poly and that didn’t follow script. We’re a top offensive team, they’re a good defensive squad. Both teams lacking on the other end of the court. Gotta get this one

I wish he’d work on his body language at times. Seems to get a little pouty.

looking at the record book, Hawkins was .488 in 14-15. I’d forgotten how accurate he was from behind the arc. Ritchart is the career leader at .563 but on only on 32 attempts (must have been injured). Gonzo and Corey were in the 170 shot range

I like that list ! But, I would definately have Harden and Caligari ahead of Mooney and Silar. I was always a bit disappointed in both of their senior years. Harden and Dom had to endure Gary Stewart and that should count for something!

Payne, Harden and Caligari from the Stewart years were all really good players.

We probably need a separate thread for this.

Somewhat related to this thread, our schedule gets tough travel wise starting this week. Two on the road, Hawaii at home then on the road again. Gotta survive the next 3 weeks starting with Bako on Thursday

good call on Moneke - I guess I didn’t think of him as a big.

in the D1 era, it’s hard not to put it at the top. Adenrele was good, but didn’t seem to come back all the way from injury. Monson was a scorer. Always liked Goode. Anigwe can score, heck of a defender (rarely fouls out this season) and tough as nails

that 5 point play was huge. Turned 13 point deficit to 8. I forgot we tied with 1:50 left; rewatching it seems like we should have one by 6 or so.

Gauchos seem like they’ve had easiest schedule of the leaders. 5 wins v Bako (2), Poly, CSUN and UCSD. Another set of big games on the road for us coming up. No resting in the Big West

they also play songs out in front of the ARC after the game - that’s a great send off after an exciting win!

I thought I heard from someone in the department that the number of band members is limited. Not sure if that’s a reason. I like that they are there

1800 in attendence, best crowd of the year. Poly is way better than the past couple years. We were out of sorts after Pepper went out. Even the FTs went back to past bad levels. Happy to get out with a win.

Someone asked about the band - I wish they were a bit more active during the breaks but they do cheer a lot and have a good time
