    Doss winning now!
  • Week 6: Eastern Washington @ UC Davis
Hate to say it, and hate it when other people say it....but we should have won that game. Ya, I said it. Aggies played a great game. Tough break on that last drive.

    Doss is unreal out there.
  • Week 6: Eastern Washington @ UC Davis
I’m going in thinking beautiful day to return to campus and tailgate with friends.....and a competitive game. Just pretty damn glad we are competitive again. Feels good, man.

Their predictions are they will win by 24, 30, or even 60. Fans overlooking us.movielover

Off the radar....best place to be.
  • Week 6: Eastern Washington @ UC Davis
I'll be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone....and drinking beer!
  • Week 6: Eastern Washington @ UC Davis
Was going to comment on that as well. He is near essential this week.

I agree about beating Poly and Sac (and USD)

Winning California is key for recruiting and exposure.
  • Is this the Biggest home game in a dozen years?
This is a big game, no doubt. I'm sure most will agree we've found a little success faster than was expected. Personally, I did have feels that this would go more like Tedford's first year at Cal when he took a 1-10 program and went 7-5......Its amazing what coaching and attitude can do. We still have a shot at at going 9-3!

Realistically, going from 3-8 to 6-5 would be a fantastic start.

Beating Eastern Washington would be a huge statement for the program, as was beating Portland State.

Yeah, that was a tough one. Watched it on my phone. Tough to come in cold and throw a corner endzone strike.

CJ led us to victory vs. Cal Poly and in the Causeway in 2015. Jake has been everything we could ask for and more from a QB in his first year in the program, but CJ could really screw defenses up in a pinch. We know he can run hard, but he can sling it too!

Its great to have many offensive weapons.

Think we'll continue to see that wildcat formation with Spencer?Zander

I he throws from it (and completes a couple passes), it could really be a weapon.
  • Week 5: North Dakota @ UC Davis
Won't be there this weekend (Disneyland for the kiddos). Will be checking in on my phone. Hopefully the Ags give the students a good show and get back on track.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ Weber State
We get to 6 or 7 wins, recruiting really changes. An exciting brand of ball will also entice ballers. We're headed in the right directipn. Now bring back the steam engine and cow bells!movielover

Also love how the "Davis" helmets seem to be back for good, and the CA logo has made it onto the home jerseys. Also, helmets do not appear to be touching the ground. All good things.

I know I got too excited too soon. This is going to take time. The product on the field is far better thus far than under Gould- clock management, risk taking (for better or worse), player motivation, etc. The level of coaching experience and talent is obviously well improved across the entire staff.

    What the status on Parenteau??
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ Weber State
Weber was up big at Sac last week.....and almost pissed it away.

Let's see if Hawkins can get these kids to dig deep. You never know!
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ Weber State
I hate that low percentage play on 4th and goal. He was doubled.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ Weber State
    1. Tehran Thomas takes Layton's spot. He was listed at 5'11" 208 in high school. We listed him at 230#s, and he is still there. Sounds like a potential beast.movielover

Looking forward to seeing this kid play. Looks like he was a one-man team for 3 years in HS. Must be a phenomenal athlete.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ Weber State
Many people on AGS and elsewhere picking Weber to beat us. I love it.

To me, this one is a toss up. Last week at Portland State showed that either we are really good, or something happened to PSU (didn't show up, uninspired, wrong choice at QB).
We've got a tough schedule and the Ags are bound to hit some bumps in the road, but I'm feeling pretty damn good about our Ags.

The motivated, confident, and well-coached Aggies beat Weber State 34-24 and catapult into the FCS Top-25.
  • BIG SKY POWER RANKINGS: First week of league play
...Northern Colorado as well. From Wikipedia "St. Mary's was originally slated to join as well, but then dropped the sport six months before the league started play." Damn shame.
  • Any Given Saturday (Biggest FCS Message Board): "Is UC Davis Back?
    I know....from out of nowhere.............oh well.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ Weber State
I have a good feeling about this game. I'm sure the players do too. This is a completely different football program than 1 year ago....coaching level and swagger.

Going into Ogden and getting another road W would be so huge.
