To my eye, teams have found success blitzing Pinnick. In this later part of the season, the pressure has brought some INTs and bad decisions. This was apparent in many instances vs. Idaho. Rushing a young QB is about the smartest move there is.

No way around beating the FCS top-tier if you want to get to the Championship, surely they'll be spread across the bracket. Favorable match-ups are more fun though!

By top-tier I mean NDSU, UM, MSU, SDSU (especially if in Brookings in late-november). I still consider them top-tier, though Tarleton is probably the "lock" over them this year. I'd rather have to go through Tarleton, especially if its down in Texas.

The "this is D1 athletics" people will think otherwise, but I say you have to know your guys and treat them in a way that helps them get the most out of their abilities. I tend to doubt treating Marcus like that is going to help the kid.

Selection committee likely has the 2023 situation in their memory bank. I doubt the Sac game will be a win-and-you're-in situation for Davis, as Davis likely has a spot unless they get beat by 80 in Bozeman. A loss to Sac would likely be a ranked loss if they beat Idaho.

Plus everyone in a position of power hates Sac right now (fair or not).

All of those exotic plays down there seemed unnecessary in my opinion. I think Plough was doing too much, again. I bet he talks about that in the press conference. I do see the point about not having Vargas. We are smaller at RB without him and that hurts close to the goal line.
