Per this thread on AGS, seems UNI is a dark horse to win it all. Don’t let the 6 wins fool you. It’s a team that’s inconsistent- can beat or lose to anyone. They beat a tough SDSU-the 5th seed in these playoffs (holding them to 9 points) and hung around NDSU for 3 quarters
Tickets ordered- along w a few extras for my Aggies who will want to go when it's already sold out. Will be a historic game. Our first playoff game ever in FCS, at home, under Dan Hawkins! I fully expect a sellout. Get em early. Let's go!
Ya we'll have to go through EWash. Should have 1 winnable game, and if we advance, will have a second shot at EWash (assuming they also take care of business) Let's gooooo! Happy w the draw overall
PR on athletics says: “The tradition of tailgating before football games will continue. Several new options for tailgating are being evaluated, and more information will be available for fans in the coming months.”
There were stretches where D looked pretty solid, but turnovers really hurt us. Arkansas utilized their size and depth to wear us down. This team still has the potential to put it together, but unfortunately lots of work to do (and a really challenging schedule)
If we win out, we're likely a #2 or #3 seed which would be ideal to avoid NDSU as long as possible. Even w a loss at EWash, I still see us getting a bye. But yes, one game at a time. I can see us competing with anyone.
I agree it’s good to get the ball rolling on this discussion. Ultimately the program is moving in the right direction w Hawkins. My main concern is getting the fans out. Can we realistically avg 15k fans per game? We have issues getting half of that right now. Our basketball program made the postseason 3 of the last 4 seasons. Most mid majors would dream to be in the NCAA or even nit, but we still can’t pack the Pavilion. What can we do to drive more interest? Extend our mktg/ footprint to Sac?? So bottom line is fan support is my main sticking point. Am I wrong here?
