The Ags will be actually be playing 3 games in 3 days in Milwaukee during the Cream City Classic. Milwaukee is our first game on Saturday and then we play Southeast Missouri State on Sunday and Boston University on Monday. I expect the game against Milwaukee will be tough. Basketball is a big deal in the Midwest and a lot of these smaller schools field very good teams.

First win by the Hornets since 2015 and this was also the lowest number of points by an Aggie team in a game against Sac since 2008.

It was really disappointing to watch. They can't just depend upon Turner to provide nearly the entire offense either.

We just got home from the game. Great win for the Aggies coming back from 11 down to win it. The second half was perhaps the best half of basketball the Ags have played this year. Les made some great defensive adjustments at halftime. The 1-2-2 zone press where we were picking them up at 3/4 court really got our defense going and, like Les likes to say, good defense leads to it good offense. Good contributions from a lot of players tonight and it was good to see Kane Milling find his shot.

So after losing the Causeway football game, being left out the playoffs and the WBB team getting thumped by Sac, I needed this!

Austin Patterson hit all 4 of his 3’s for Sac. He scored a ton of points in HS at Sonora, I think and we offered him. I remember seeing him at some Aggie games but he ended up at Wofford for a year and then he entered the portal. I thought we might go after him then but he ended up at Sac. He’s a deadly shooter.

He’s 2-5 so far. Ags are digging themselves a hole. Down 39-30

There were at least 8 missed layups.

67-45 Sac - Final. Turner had 25 and Baker had 8. Ags shot only 28% including 1-14 from 3. There’s a lot of work to do before the conference starts

36-18 Sac at the half. Ags shooting 24%, 0-6 from 3 and 50% from the line. Combine that with inconsistent defense with Sac shooting 58% and you can see why Sac has doubled up the Aggies.

Another questionable selection to the playoffs is Delaware. They lost 4 of their last 6 games.

This is the second time for the women to play this game at the Golden1 Center. The Aggies won last year 75-46.

I always think it's tough for the players to get dialed in on their shots in such a big arena and such a small crowd. Just something about the vastness of the place when the seats a mostly empty that changes the depth perception of the shooters. Maybe driving to the basket is the best way to deal with it!

Castles, Gilliam and King all went out with injuries. I don't think any of them returned.

My wife and I will be there. It would be great to sweep both the women's and the men's game.
