05 made a post a couple of days ago for the first time in years and, like agalum said, 6th moved to Texas and I heard he found another team to follow. We haven't heard from him since he left, unfortunately. All this speculation about the PAC12 and the MWC has generated a lot of interest even if it just a pipe dream and it seems like some of original members from the past have taken notice. I hope they'll stay around and contribute to the conversations. Again, welcome back!

The Aggies host UCLA on Thursday, September 19, at 6 pm at the University Credit Union Center. The Ags would love to upset the Bruins as they head into conference play at Long Beach the following week.

I don't think we'll see the Aggies move up in the polls even if we crush Utah Tech unless some of the teams ahead of us lose. This is a game where we are expected to win big so a win by a big margin won't impress the voters that much. The Idaho game is the one that will that will catch the eye of the pollsters.

I feel like this game could be a bit of a trap game if we get caught looking ahead to the Idaho game and overlooking a hungry Utah Tech team.

The men and the women both won today at home. The women beat Louisiana State 4-3 on a goal by Genavieve Fontes in the 82 minute and the men beat USF on a shot from beyond the box by Lucas Fernandez-Kim with 43 seconds to go in the game. Both teams now have 4 game winning streaks.

The Aggies played Washington tough today but fell to the Huskies in 4 sets after taking the first set: 29-19, 21-25, 19-25, and 22-25.

We're not currently playing at the level that Idaho is from what I've seen of them so far this year. We will undoubtedly be the underdog going into that game. I'm glad we have them at home and don't have to play them in their indoor arena.

Sac established quite a reputation with the ranking committees under Troy Taylor and deservedly so. That influence will continue to follow them unless they simply fall apart at some point. We have yet to firmly establish that kind of reputation and influence. Hopefully, this will be the year for us in which we decidedly convince the ranking and playoff committees that are not a team to be overlooked.

What a contrast between the SUU HC DeLane Sanders and Tim Plough. Plough always looks for the positives win or lose and doesn't put his players down. Sanders comes across as angry and negative. Just look at the body language of the 2 players beside him in the SUU post-game presser. Who'd want to play for a coach like that?

We've definitely got some areas that need urgent improvement but I think this win is a proud one for the Aggies. The score at the end of the first half was disappointing after the early pick 6 and our continuing struggles to score TD's when we get into the red zone but we came out on fire in the 3rd quarter and then our banged up, tired defense hung on enough for us to get the win.

We've got a lot of room to get better and that's actually a good thing since we're a pretty good football team right now and the best is yet to come.

I remember that game well also...loved the games at The Toom...

25-23, 14-25 and 13-15. They continue their tough schedule against Washington tomorrow.
