UCLA has prevailed in each of its two previous meetings with UC Davis, outscoring the Aggies by a 26-0 margin in 1932 and a 49-0 count in 1934. Both games were played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Do you know how many scholies we may have left go give?

This class is shaping up to be all QBs and WRsCA Forever

Definitely! All of these WR's are under 6 feet tall so no big targets. My guess is that we are recruiting for speed, quickness and good hands first and foremost. I'd love to see us play a lot of no huddle, hurry up offense with a good stable of fast WR's to throw to mixed in with our solid running game. Shredville football is going to be exciting to watch!

Long Beach loaded up on transfers under their new head coach. This is a pretty cool video introducing the team. I'd like to see the Aggies do this too.

Thanks for tracking these players down, Mike. It's great to see so many of them doing well playing ball in foreign countries. I think that actually getting to play and do well abroad is a better experience than riding the bench in the NBA for these players.

Here's a couple more former Aggies playing abroad:

    Brynton Lemar:

    2017-18 - France
    2018-19 - Hungary
    2019-20 - Poland
    2020-21 - Turkey
    2021 - Italy
    2021-22 - Russia (Krasnoyarsk, Siberia!)
    2022-23 - France
    2023 - Greece
    2023-24 - Israel
    2024 - current: Slovenia

    Josh Fox:

    2016 - England
    2017 - New Zealand
    2018 - present: - Australia

Fox also played for the Fiji National Team in 2015 and they won a silver medal in the Pacific Games.

The Aggies will play a home and home series with Idaho this fall. It looks like we have 6 away games scheduled so far: 3 with known dates and 3 TBD.

Seems like an aggressive perimeter player with perhaps some untapped potential.Oldbanduhalum

    I think that's a pretty accurate observation.

The Aggie coaching staff is good at finding and developing players who are "diamonds-in-the-rough." Daughtery started 10 of 29 games last year at Central Arkansas and averaged 9.9 ppg while shooting 37.5% overall and 31% from 3 and played an average of 19 minutes per game. He looks to be more of a shooting guard than a PG since he only had 9 total assists for the season. It will be interesting to see who will win the starting guard position alongside TY when the season starts this fall.

Daughtery is coming from a program that went 9-23 last year including loses to Hawaii 95-76 and Loyola Marymount 90-63. UCA's last winning season was in 2017-18 when they went 18-17 for the year. So I expect he'll be hungry to play for a winning program.
  • Tim Plough Named New UC Davis Head Football Coach
I did some research and it appears that there were 5 related Graduate restaurants at one time: Davis, Chico, San Luis Obispo, Stockton and one in Tucson known as the Wildcat House. The restaurant in Berkeley is Henry's located the the Graduate Berkeley building that was formerly the Hotel Durant and wasn't related to the other Graduate restaurants.

All of The Graduate restaurants related to the Davis Grad have closed:

    - Chico Grad closed in 2015. I believe it was open for 37 years.
    - San Luis Obispo Grad closed in 2020 after 45 years.
    - Stockton Grad closed in 2021 after a homeless man set fire to it after being denied a free soda.

    - The Wildcat House in Tucson closed in 2012 after 37 years. In 2015, new owners renovated the building and opened Brother John's Beer, Bourbon & BBQ while keeping some elements of the former Grad as nostalgic remembrances.

Ags lost a close one 3-2 today and finish with a winning season 29-27 overall. Great year for the Aggies and the Aggie coaching staff. This program is on a fast rise!
  • 2024 Baseball Schedule
The Ags won another wild one today 9-8 over Bakersfield in 13 innings. The Aggies trailed 8-7 going into the bottom of the 13th and tied the game at 8 apiece with no outs and the bases still loaded but the Ags grounded into 2 force outs at home. Then the Bake relief pitcher was forced to leave the game after the umps determined that the Bake manager had made two visits to the mound in the inning. The Bake manager was not happy but he had to bring in another reliever who hit the Aggie batter with his first pitch forcing in the winning run for the Ags. Crazy!

One game left in the season now. Go Ags!
