  • WBB: Aggies (8-3) @ Central Florida (10-2)
The Aggies are showing that they can play with the Knights and take 6 point lead into the half 34-28. The Ags are shooting 50% to UCF's 35.5% and are keeping pace with the athletic Knights on the boards with UCF having a 20-19 edge. So far this is an impressive showing by the Aggies against a very good team.

Fouls could come into play as the Ags got whistled for 10 fouls to only 4 for UCF. Four Aggies have 2 fouls each.

    Go Ags!

The Ags are playing UCF tough and lead 16-13 after the first quarter. We are handling the Knights' pressure pretty well so far. It appears that Rachel Nagel is still out with an injury.

You have to pay to watch this game on the UCF tv network. (N)

Absolutely agree. This team has some nice potential but has been very inconsistent. We need to find a way to be more consistent if we are going to compete at all in the Big West. If things don't change, we'll finish at or near the bottom of the league.

Welcom to AST OldAggieAlum! There are a few of us here on the forum who used to attend Aggie basketball games in Hickey Gym with Ham going crazy. (Y)

I'm kind of surprised about McCann. I thought he did a pretty good job with the receivers, was well like by the players he coached and was our main connection for recruiting in Oregon and Washington. He brought in some good talent at WR also.
  • MBB Offer
He also has an offer from Santa Clara.

    Not worth it. +2

You know the old saying, "You can't win a pissing contest with a skunk."

In the official UCD Aggie Athletics new release it notes that Cloud lettered in swimming in high school also. That struck me as being pretty impressive when you think of a 6' 290 guy competing in swimming. Can you imagine the volume of water he would be pushing!

This is an interesting comment from Plough:

“Going to NAU got me away from what I had known,” said Plough. “In the last few years, we have stumbled upon an offense that is new and that a lot of people don’t run. We’ve had some success with it. I used a lot of the things I learned at Davis and then grew into my own.”

Do you think he is making reference to the Fly offense in his statement?

Wow, good for Tim! He'll bring a ton of Aggie Pride with him!

Shortly after Hawk was hired I took a look at their football forum just to see what Colorado fans were saying. There was a thread about his hire at Davis and, I'll just say this, there are some members there that were saying some pretty ugly things about him. Most of them were still riled up about a loss to Kansas, I think, in which they believe Hawk left his son in the game just so he could set some records and, in doing so, squandered a huge lead and lost the game.

It was hard for me to believe that their forum was allowing their members to post such inflammatory and rude stuff. I'm certainly glad we have a forum where the members are generally very respectful in their posts even when they are not happy with the way things are going.
  • MBB: Aggies @ Air Force
Yep, we shot a blistering 4-23 from 3 for 17%. I thought the Ags did a pretty good job to get the lead down to 4 at 64-60 given the fact that the refs had handcuffed them with a ton of fouls in the first half.

Right now this team is slumping. With league about to start and playing the way we are, I think we are one of the bottom 3 teams if not right at the bottom. If we finish under .500 for the season I think that Blue needs to take a serious look at the job Coach Les is doing.
  • MBB: Aggies @ Air Force
Ags claw there way back to within 6 and Henning gets knocked to the floor on a 3 attempt and gets no call and Les gets a T. Surprised it took this long for Les to get teed up with these incompetent bozos officiating this game!
  • MBB: Aggies @ Air Force
Quite honestly, I've never seen such one sided officiating ever...it's that bad! That last foul on White was terrible...he just stood there with his hands straight up and the offensive player bumped into him and the ref calls an +1. (N)
  • MBB: Aggies @ Air Force
Ags trail by two 30-28 in a ragged game totally taken over by the refs. We have 4 players with 3 fouls each in the first 20 minutes. These guys called 28 fouls total against both teams which means they blew their whistles every 42 seconds on average and have just destroyed the flow of the game. Unbelievable what this officiating crew has done to ruin this game!
  • MBB: Aggies @ Air Force
It's pathetic...cheap fouls...the refs have completely taken the game away from the players..this is just plain bad for the game of basketball!
  • MBB: Aggies @ Air Force
I hate it when the refs feel like they should be the center of attention. As usual, the zebras are calling blocks when the offensive player clearly jumps into the defender and initiates contact. And, what a cheap foul on Henn in the scramble for a jump ball...horrible call!
