Rhode Island's offensive line is perhaps short but they are heavy.A little heavier than Davis overall.
On defense they are smaller. 2 light down linemen flanked by some big outside linebackers. It will be interesting how well Davis blocks them.

He didn't mean whiteness in that sense, he meant he was going to rid the school of rational thinking. He has a top down strategy.

Acronyms are sometimes challenging.

After Covid we had a largely veteran roster. The extra Covid year made rosters deeper and older. Hawkins would play more guys and we had a big fourth quarter point differential as a result. Now fewer 5th, 6th, 7th year players. Plough likes his position players playing special teams more, seems to me.

I’m not making a judgement, just an observation. I think we have talent that doesn’t play, but depth is a combination of talent with experience.

Plough is conservative about playing guys. Played 52 guys in a home game against Sac. We have depth on both lines, and at tight end but thats about it.

The banged up secondary narrative is somewhat dated, since Davis has had their top cornerbacks after Ty Richardson missed seven games. Among secondary starters they are only missing Rex. They have lost depth guys

Regarding Coby Herman, he will likely be the third San Diego area running back on the roster, joining Mason Walsh and Aden Jackson. I saw an interview of Coby where the interviewer commented on it.

Yet.247sports only uses.the composite.when they rank.recruiting.classes . That.was.ridiculous for FCS teams because they were.basing class.rank on one or.two.recruits . I notice.they have more.composite.ratings.now than a few.years ago.

Drew Cofield is the highest ranked by 247sports, but not by the 247sports composite that has a couple of guys ahead of him. Among them is Jonathan Cravin a.freshman on our roster but didn't play. Injured?

I notice that Sam Haener, the lineman from Idaho is projected as an offensive lineman. 247 had him as a 3* defensive lineman.

Sac has 27 graduates and seniors on their roster. I think their motivation in leaving the Big Sky was they want to be free of the conference scholarship limit, can't think of any other motivation. As an FCS independent they can have 105.

He was injured in the second or third game. Grant played in so few games this season he can get a medical redshirt.
This is already his third year with the Aggies after two years of JC.

I saw a post on the Rhodey board, that claimed Davis' defense was rated 100th. Based on that the poster felt the game would be fun for them..
Of course that includes the Washington game, which distorts the stats. A better measure of Davis' defense is the Big Sky Conference games where Davis is second best defense in the conference in scoring defense and third best in yardage. And that is almost entirely without the Connor twins, and five of the conference games were without Ty Richardson who is playing well.
