Yes. I drove down Main Street today and most of the outdoor dining options had customers. I think the way it works now is that Yolo is lumped into the “greater sac area” which is comprised of about 4 counties. Fortunately the weather is mild enough for folks to dine outdoors. I personally stay away from the outdoor tents. Might as well be indoors.

Well, the good news in all this we’ll have spring football, and 4 months later hopefully we will all be back in Aggie Stadium!
  • Tim Plough new OC at Boise State
Yeah, i guess i would have expected Cody to be named interim OC and then do a position search. Similar to what we did with the AD position. Maybe that approach is only done for high level positions?
  • Tim Plough new OC at Boise State
Coach ran into controversy recruiting and coaching Cody at Colorado. Now moving him into OC doesn’t seem prudent to me. I wonder if the position was recruited?

Totally agree with all your points. This mRNA technology, while understood for a long time, is real rocket science as it’s being applied to vaccines. I’m curious to see how the nanotech derived vaccines compare.

I read it was the fan inside the costume. If that person was covid positive, the fan would serve as a mechanism to spread the virus.

Moderna 80% protection after 1 dose, Pfizer 70%. That’s better than the flu vaccine.

Now that’s what you call social distancing!
  • COVID-19

Ok, thanks for that. Hopefully it is temporary.

Well, frankly not sure. There was a posting on a local neighborhood site saying they were closed for good. Ive tried calling to get an order to go, they dont answer their phone but the message says they are open. I think they are history just bc they dont answer. They had a very niche market that didnt fit the “to go” crowd since they relied on suds and folks shooting pool, bikers, etc.

Mike, dont expect to get a Plainfield burger. Another COVID closure

Yeah, me too. I’m not sure how far in advance the “season” needs to be planned and the consequences of pulling the plug at the last minute. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole season is dropped. Sad, I’ve been anxious to see how the new talent competes.
  • Nevada and San Jose State...
Ohio state giving Clemson everything they can handle. I didn't expect this, good match up.

In California, the latino population is leading all other races in positivity rate, morbidity, and mortality. Spin it how you wish. My take is there is an educational component and an indifference to breaking traditions, such as large family gatherings. A good friend recently hosted a “fiesta de quince años” for his daughter. He is a successful educated individual, but apparently does not want to interrupt tradition bc of a virus. We are all tired of this. But i truly believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. Happy New Year and Go Ags!

I had to go on campus yesterday. I saw the fellas working out on the field east of the toomb. No coaches. Looked like about 30.

Last night coach touched on the 62 scholarship limit, and i know we do some innovative partials to make each buck stretch, but does anyone know where we are in terms of available scholarships?

Just finished watching the webinar. Glad to see we have some studs with speed coming in on the DL. We often get burned by mobile QBs.

Looking for a bright spot, maybe the pandemic and subsequent virtual recruiting allowed us to spread our wings into areas that we normally don’t draw from.

I can tell you from experience that campus tags on a huge tax, or whatever you want to call it, on building projects. Their certainly needs to be oversight, but when donors are evaluating costs, writing the check for overhead expenses is a tough sell. The same thing essentially happens with grant funds. The Chancellor takes a piece followed by the department. Those indirects never seem to trickle down.
