  • ATTN: UCD Sports Marketing. IMPROVE STREAMING
It’s money thing. Anyone who saw the stream form Washington on Pac12 stream could see the difference in plain sight. Night and day from BW stream of even BSky stream both of which were terrible. Don’t know if the money is there for the fix.
  • MBB 7 pm Wednesday: Northern Colorado (5-2) @ the Aggies (3-2)
Double-triple teaming Chima has to allow for some very good outside shooting. We did not do that tonight. We will see a lot more of that as the season goes on. BW teams will take a very long look at this game. lucky win for us
  • New woman’s sport
Wrestling dad? Who was he? I think he even was an alum. If he’s watching we are watching to see his Next move!!!
  • Aggie WBB up to #8 in this weeks Mid-Major Poll
I think one of the things that is going somewhat unnoticed is that the Aggies can now substitute in two very formidable players in Nina and Cierra and give Pele, Dani and Rachael a needed rest. The height they bring and the width they play just sets a new tone that the opposition has not seen. Tough to coach against that.
  • New woman’s sport
Wasn’t there a parent of a rower that sued the university for removing rowing? That has to be 8+ years ago, but maybe he would step up a help fund the new program if that what he wanted to do back in the day. I cannot remember his name but he was over the top pissed that this sport got the chopping block. If not your daughter, maybe someone else’s daughter???
  • New woman’s sport
Well what do you know? UC Davis still has a sizable woman’s rowing team as a club sport and has a website for recruiting and news. So, the boats are there, the interested woman are there, the facilities are there, but it costs a whomping $600 a quarter to join. And møßt interesting is that they have had some very good teams rowing against big schools with scholarships. No brainer four me. It will be woman’s rowing. These are big teams with a lot of members which Title IX will demand. Probably will not provide much in the way of scholarships, but that’s OK for starters.
  • UCSD Expected to Announce Joining the Big West on Monday
Poor sac must be very upset with this. Have they ever tried for BW membership? Their travel cost must be off the charts.
  • WBB 2 pm Sunday: Aggies (5-0) @ Seattle (3-2)
Or maybe nini is just stepping up>
  • UCSD Expected to Announce Joining the Big West on Monday
CSUs say OK to UCSD, if OK to Bakersfield. That simple. But is this conference getting too big? Maybe not if almost all the teams are 2 hours apart.
  • New woman’s sport
Ps. If they add a lightweight team (<130) they will get a huge amount of interest and participants which is I think what they need for TIX issues.
  • New woman’s sport
Go to FAQ at UCD website and you can voted for a team. I think rowing is a no brainer, but the parents and fans are going to have to step to the plate as this an expensive sport. Hope they didn’t sell the boats!
  • Field Hockey 1-9
Aggies to add new women’s sport in 2018!

Due to title IX issues UC Davis must add a woman’s sport in 2018. And per UCD release it must be primarily privately funded. Very complex process in place to decide on what sport will be added due to a judicial settlement a few years back- yes women’s wrestling rears it pretty head again. But it wont be women’s wrestling this time. About the only teams we don’t field at this time are rowing and beach volleyball. Of course, we could be like Stanford and have squash, fencing etc. we probably still have the shells for rowing, but its a very expensive sport. Would the parents be willing to kick in enough to get it off the ground? If not its beach volleyball. Ugg!
  • WBB 2 pm Sunday: Aggies (5-0) @ Seattle (3-2)
I think Dani may be hurt a little or is just not feeling well. Not herself at all. She’ll be back in no time. That is a lot of travel time and Seattle is a good team. Very good win indeed.
  • MBB 5 pm Sunday: Aggies (3-1) @ Washington (3-2)
There are zones and then zones. Very difficult to play a good zone at this level, but Washington’s was good, very good. According to les, BW plays very little zone D.
  • UCSD Expected to Announce Joining the Big West on Monday
Interesting that the story implies that the CSUs were against this. I guess they just don’t want to be outvoted by the UCs. Hawai’i is a different story. Why would they care and where would they go if they left? After pacific left I bet the BW conference rues the day it let the Aggies in because of the travel issues in coming to davis which is not the case with the other BW schools. No, you don’t get to sleep in your own beds When you travel to play the Aggies. Maybe this is a reason to consider Sac. As the BW is totally too SoCal focused.
  • Architect of Speed D Improves WSU over 100 spots in 3 yrs
I have family Boise St. fans here in sonoma for the holidays and they are driving all their way to Fresno for this game tomorrow! I cannot believe it- maybe a 3+ drive. And then back? Should I take back everything bad I ever said about Telford? I think maybe I should. What a turnaround. . .
  • Architect of Speed D Improves WSU over 100 spots in 3 yrs
Movie you are right. We already have those guys is place. We just need a leader. Maybe tucker. . . .
  • Architect of Speed D Improves WSU over 100 spots in 3 yrs
Plus Speed D maybe a scheme that has real legs at least for college football because so-called Optimum D1 size and speed is achievable by very very few teams. Sustainable “new schemes” are few and far between. Recall (or read for you young guys) Red Hickie’s original “shotgun offense” he designed for the 49ers back in the day- every eligible receiver was spread out. Brodie and the Niners were unstoppable until its flaws were discovered- it was very susceptible to blitzes form the outside. It disappeared in its original form. I would give coach tucker a ticket to Pullman and money to take Grinch out to lunch. This defense might really be the answer for us.
