    So nothing on comcast?
  • WBB 11/16: Aggies (0-2) at Portland State (2-0)
Agree. Both coaches saw great things to happen. It has not happened. What’s up with that?
  • WBB 11/16: Aggies (0-2) at Portland State (2-0)
I know Box scores are out, so I don’t know who is playing for how long. Bu seems back court is way back of last year.
  • Historic Aggie Weather Games
Blue, great memory and game. I think “cold, drizzle and fog” might apply to my cognitive skills at this stage of my game. It was so upsetting to see Kenny get hurt. Most knew that probably meant the end of our championship chances.
  • Historic Aggie Weather Games
Early 80s. Very wet winter and the Tomb was a soggy mess. Hosting a play off game. We had to rig a raised plastic canopy over the entire field (about 3-4 feet high) and then put in heated blowers to try and dry the field. It worked. Painted the field green. I think we then lost to NDSU/Lehigh. But great effort.
  • UC Davis Health Stadium
I agree with the DR.Mike that this was accomplished with a lot of imagination in terms of where the money had to come from. Donors surely were very BIG, but to have the administration kick in academic money so they could use the center for undergraduate classes as well was very good thinking. UC Davis Medical School contributed with a new and very expanded Sports Medicane Program was great; again, kicking in academic money. And finally, UC Davis Health realizing that it had to increase its presence on the campus and in Davis, both growing and very health conscious constituents that have been somewhat ignored in the past was great thinking. I don’t know who gets the credit for such a great collaboration of efforts from such diverse sources.

But, SFChron says “AQ will be much better tomorrow.” Hope it reaches inland. Interesting that on the Berkeley campus they are getting AQ numbers all over the map- from 150 here to 230 there, etc. probably the same in Davis. No way they can play unless less than 150 AQ IMO. I am sure the Davis and Berkeley Chancellors are in close contact on this decision. Probably is Mays biggest prime time decision in his short tenure.
Wow. I never even imagined that AQI would effect our playoff chances. Who would?
  • UC Davis Health Stadium
Sounds great. What exactly is a performance center? Well, I guess will know very soon. Definitely impressive that a sports medicine component is included.
  • Week 12: CAUSEWAY
I see the big problem being absolutely no wind to blow the smoke away. It is Very eerie with the yellowish tone to the sky and the total stillness. And no change in sight. This game either gets moved (unlikely at this point) or gets cancelled IMO.
  • Week 12: CAUSEWAY
I agree with BGA. Obviously, the team cannot even practice outdoors in this bad air. Not a practical choice to move this game.
  • MBB 11/12: Aggies (0-2) at Arkansas (0-1)
Like i said about Kourtney. Maybe they all have very hot new girlfriends (not Kourtney, of course). Heads not in the game.
  • WBB 11/11: Pacific (0-0) at UCD (0-1)
That’s not the Kourtney we know. Head not in the game. New boyfriend?
  • WBB 11/11: Pacific (0-0) at UCD (0-1)
Well, i think Jen has to just jump down their throats and kick some ass. Acting like some spoiled kids it seems.
  • Week 12: CAUSEWAY
Movie, my brother was a ranger in calaveras big trees state park when they did those very effective controlled forest burns and much of what you stated it worked. I loved it when he came back black head to toe. He was so happy to be doing something that worked. Guess what happened with this USFS land. The U.S. government stopped the program in the early ‘80s due to “high costs”. I won’t say who was in charge in DC at that time, but I think we all know.
  • Week 12: CAUSEWAY
I don’t know if any weather guy has commented on it, but the weird thing I see about this fire is the direction of the wind- from the northeast! Usually the wind is from the straight north or from the prevailing northwestern winds we see in Sonoma and on the coast. So in this case Santa Rosa and SF got. More smoke than Sac. Or Davis. It almost like the Santa Ana winds are coming to the North State. But I know. Not possible that climate change has anything to do with it, just “poor forest management’” as stated by our esteemed leader.
  • WBB 11/11: Pacific (0-0) at UCD (0-1)
Poor passes are lazy passes and are therefore selfish. That player hurts her team mates. Who are the players most at fault? I did not see the game. Jen is a good coach. She must have been going crazy from the bench. Kourtney is not a rookie and is very good, but if she or others responsible cant get the team under control on the floor they should be benched. This is not 2017-18. We have to start all over again.
  • Week 11: UC Davis @ Eastern Washington
I agree the last EW TD was interesting to say the least. But I don’t think Hawk squaked a lot about to the EW HC after the game. Because it actually gives him something to talk about Monday with his troops. Being beaten very badly can be a reason to improve your game. Yes, getting beaten up really badly can help you improve your strength and resolve. When we meet EW the next time the EW coach will rue this day. What goes around. . . You know the rest. Oh also, EW 27 seniors this year. . . Also at home 2019.
  • Week 11: UC Davis @ Eastern Washington
I agree. Students are very quirky. For the past 4-6 years our football team’s games were not a significant attraction or source of pride for any of our present students. So to ask them to suddenly becomes ardent fans is unreasonable. This will take a few years to happen, but I am very optimistic that it will happen. The sudden uptick in much more athletic players is also very interesting. Good job by Hawk. Maybe Chancellor May a factor? He seems way more attuned to Aggie athletics than anyone since Emil Mrak. Yes folks, I am old enough to remember him actually sitting with the players on the bench at the Tomb. They loved him! We were not good then, but 1 year later we started making history with a man named Sochor. I believe someone once said that “history repeats itself.” Let’s hope so.
  • Week 10: Northern Arizona @ UC Davis
I totally agree with z. We have to build a product to sell it and the last 5 years have been very bad for Aggie football. So, no sale! Now were into a different situation. The kids will get it soon. I really like this new girl, Katerina Kountournes, to lead the pack. Absolutely gorgeous young woman. I think the Kings got her first, but whose to care. She’s an Aggie.
Some worries about Gilliam. Any news?
  • Week 10: Northern Arizona @ UC Davis
I was there in 1977 for the Reno game. Reno fans came early and with their big RVs filled up the old Toomey parking lot where the old baseball field was next to. They were very cocky and obnoxious. I was in the north end zone when Reno was driving. Then came the big play. We intercepted a pass down the middle and scored. Reno was so shocked they never got back into the game. We won. For the life of me a cannot remember the name of that aggie player who made the play. Silver___ something. He has been an aggie herofor me ever since. We need that force against NAU as they will bring a big game to Aggie Stadium. Do not get a bit over confident for this game!
