I'm definitely optimistic at this point. I'm really liking the moves we are making. Now I will give Hawk the same leniency I gave Gould. I'm not necessarily looking for us to go 9-2 out of the gate, but there needs to be improvement and growth from season to season which was something we didn't see with Gould. I think it could happen with the Hawk.

I think the Hawk will want our guys in Aggie blue and gold. He's an Aggie through and through. I wouldn't mind having names on the backs of jerseys just so I don't have to keep trying to memorize the roster or continuously look at the program, but I get reasons for not wanting them as well.

I like both of those helmets, I'd be okay with seeing them on game day. I'm also alright with gold trim around the numbers on the jerseys, but I agree entirely with you on the pants. I know Gould was letting the team pick the uniform combinations for the games, but I personally couldn't stand it when we went with the white or blue pants at home games. I don't care if they want the stormtrooper look at away games, but I like the blue and gold at home.

Plough himself said it was good for him to get away from Davis for awhile. He seems to have hit his stride at NAU developing a thriving offense there. If not for Cookus getting injured I think NAU would have been near the top of the Big Sky again this year. No way of telling if he can replicate his recent successes, but he seems to have grown a lot since his previous stint with the aggies.

That was definitely what I was thinking. I mean, we would post memes and stuff on the board about Gould, but I don't think anyone in this community had actual malicious or hateful feelings about him. Even during the thick of his train wreck tenure I don't think I could ever had taken to twitter to personally insult or cut the the guy down. These are adults and it's really sad to see them act this way.

CU fans were posting screenshots of themselves having their accounts blocked from him. There were several pictures and others responding saying that they had been blocked as well.

Hadn't thought about it, but that very likely could be the case. If that is the case, CU fans should be ashamed.

This also means we will probably start hearing about offensive assistants soon. Who is getting let go and who will be brought in. This all has me excited for Aggie football again!

I was honestly pretty surprised about some of the stuff I read today. I just can't imagine being that upset about a football game pushing a decade later. Some of the folks were I think honestly confused about why they were being blocked... maybe you shouldn't harass a guy for several years after he has left the program. Not that I had a real opinion of CU before today, but it sure went down.

There were several problems there during Hawk's tenure. I've even read some stuff from CU fans, looking back on the situation, that Cody wasn't a main problem. In fact, he was probably one of the better players on a bad team. The QB isn't entirely responsible for giving up a 28 point lead. Gotta blame the defense too. People always look for a scapegoat after a big loss and QBs are easy targets no matter how well or poorly they played.

That's why I had to turn it off. No chance for the Aggies with the book being thrown at em this hard. These refs are a disgrace to the game.

Minute and a half into the 2nd and we have 2 fouls called already. Apparently the refs didn't talk this over during the break.

Air Force knocks down a buzzer beater to take the lead. 18 fouls on the Aggies in the first half. Refs are making this game their own, sure some calls are legit but for the most part this has been a horrendously officiated game.

17 fouls. We're not going to have any players left to play come 2nd half.
