Doss signs with the Jags practice squad

Well... it wasn't a blowout. That questionable personal foul really turned the tides in this one and then the defense ran out of gas. Forcing a bunch of turnovers was a positive. I don't think that we should be concerned about the offense yet. We weren't really taking shots downfield against their excellent pass defense.

Very rarely do practice squad guys make the jump up and find success. He needs to be playing on Sundays this season. I hope a team claims him and he balls out.

Well, hopefully he gets picked up before going practice squad. He deserves to be playing on Sundays. Raiders will regret this decision.

Harrell is a wide receiver, not a tight end. I don't recall if the WR preseason preview article has been released yet. Preece will be the go to tight end, but I will be interested to see if freshman Blake Thorpe gets involved right away. Big time receiving threat in high school.

Band-uh alumni just recently received an email that basically said "we have no updates at this point in time". There has not been a lot of transparency between the band and university through this process.

NDSU has picked their starting QB for the season. Redshirt freshman Trey Lance (6'3 221) won the starting job over Iowa State transfer Zeb Noland. He's a big boy and will be tough to bring down, but not a whole lot of college experience. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Another poster mentioned that Bland was off for academics but the recent the positional articles that have been coming out mentioned Bland as being a big contributor this upcoming season and that was from the coaches so I don't know.

Interesting that Phil picked Flacco over Maier for 1st team All-American. I know it's a prediction of how they will perform this upcoming season, but Maier outperformed Flacco statistically in every QB category. The only thing Flacco has going for him over Maier is that Flacco is really mobile and will run the ball.

The roster was updated with the start of practice. Several JUCO transfers are listed now.

I'm sure that Cal will have plenty of tape on us. It's a major FBS program that's trying to build back up. They won't take the game against Davis lightly.

EWU being ranked 4th in Big Sky and 10th overall seems questionable to me. I know that they lost several key players, but Barriere looks legit and I think their offense alone makes them extremely dangerous. Likewise, I think being ranked 7th overall for Montana State is an outlier in most polls that I have seen.

Being an underdog and surprising opponents is fun, but I don't mind embracing a culture of winning again at UC Davis. Back in the D2 days teams used to dread playing Davis because they knew they were going to get stomped. That's how NDSU is right now in FCS and I really wouldn't mind Davis being there as well.

Yeah, I have a family member who lived in Spokane for awhile. He had his truck broken into on more than one occasion and even had someone try to break into his house. From what I understand it's a genuinely undesirable place to live. Hope that both of the players are able to make full recoveries.

Uhhhh... so Jaalen Rening has deleted his commitment post. Hasn't stated that he is no longer committed, but that's probably not a great sign.
