I don't think we're magically going to get a huge influx of sales here a couple days before the game. Disappointing, but the reality of how athletics are regarded at UC Davis. Hopefully those who do make it to the game are at least loud as hell though I'm not going to hold my breath for that either.
Probably the flashiest highlights in our recruiting class go to QB Xzavior Guess though. True dual threat guy and put up video game numbers this last season.
Their loss for pulling offers over him being 6'0 instead of 6'2. His highlights show some pretty solid passing rushing for an interior lineman. He said he just recently turned 17 and is already 300 lbs. He's going to be an anchor for the defensive line in the future.
List has been updated! Looks like only 1 commitment that hasn't signed (or was a PWO offer)! Looks like a solid class so far. Some very interesting QB and defensive talent.
I'll update the list with signed players tonight. Got a pretty hectic day at work today and probably won't have the chance to do it as they come in. GO AGS!
It looks like we might be getting 1 more DB signing. He hasn't posted it outright, but from some other tweets I was able to find it looks like 3 star safety Kam Totton is going to be signing with UC Davis tomorrow.
Early signing period starts tomorrow bright and early and runs through Friday! Hopefully we get all of our commits to sign on the dotted line and it wouldn't hurt to get a few extras! GO AGS!
Massey has Incarnate Word vs Villanova as a closer match up, but generally speaking I think we actually do have one of the more balanced games. I don't think the Redbirds actually played all that spectacularly against SEMO despite the turnover margin, but I think they are capable of playing a much more complete game. I know some Illinois State fans were saying that their HC tends to go ultra-conservative with the lead, but that REALLY almost bit them on the butt this last week.
I've never seen a game quite like it. SEMO had 80+ passing attempts in the game and turned the ball over 8 times (could have been 10+) and still had the game within 1 score. Illinois State put themselves in good position for the turnovers, but most were largely due to SEMO errors. While SEMO didn't run the ball at all, Illinois State just didn't run the ball well. Very very sloppy football all around.
