Any scholarship given to an athlete counts as an athletic schollie. Otherwise you could have 35 d2schollirs for athletics and 35 academic for 70total schollies.

Six quarterbacks drafted in such a short time.. Most in the D2 era. Better than most D1schools.

Next thing you know the colors red, black, white, and yellow will be banned too. This mentality is just ludicrous. Animal rights activists will also lead to banning animals as mascots. I guess we'll just have to make up non existing names for mascots.
  • Week 5: #9 Eastern Washington @ #11 UC Davis
How about a.lineman on a goal line stand where they try to make the offensive line-man get low so the lb can make a stop. Are you saying none of them lead with their helmets. I bet someone does on every play at the goaline. But the contact is below the shoulder, as was the Aggie players. Leading with the helmet happens on almost every play by lineman. The O -line mans helmet is already in front so a defensive line only needs to make quick contact with his helmet and get a free 1st down, right?
  • Week 5: #9 Eastern Washington @ #11 UC Davis
How can you make any tackle without leading with the helmet. The only difference is where contact is made. So, basically, if the helmet makes contact with another players body first it is a penalty.

I think Hawkins would agree that the targeting call was bogus. He just can't say that without getting into trouble with the league. I also think the officiating sided with EWU. There were at least 3 and most likely 4 times that calls were made against the Aggies on crucial 3rd down plays. The interception in the end zone was not a PI as you could argue both went for the ball. Obviously the Aggie player did since he caught it. What proof do the officials have that it was not the case? You cannot assume he wasn't going for the ball, since he did catch it. I think the officials were favoring EWU by league orders. The rule says targeting a player is hitting a player from the NECK up. Worse call ever. Every fan who is non bias would agree. But bias officials just need to do what the league says. Get EWU into the playoffs. Now, I think EWU outplayed the Aggies, but there were many calls that went EWUs way, and the Aggies were not given the PI calls when EWU players grabbed Aggie receivers jerseys

From what I am hearing the mortality rate has dropped to .01% and the basic flu has a mortality rate of .1%. So it is not as lethal as the basic flu. That is the good news, but many more are getting the covid 19 flu.
  • Football in the spring?
Well, there is information out there that syas the masks are not as good as coffee filters. This could easily be possible. Most masks people are wearing are not going to prevent the spread of disease by stopping the virus from passing through the mask. Most will just slow the rate of transport of the virus to a shorter distance after a yawn, speaking, or a sneeze. Virus particles are way smaller than the size of a single cell. Thus, the need for much smaller holes are needed in the mask to prevent the virus from escaping and travel a great distance. This is why they want a 6' space between individuals. These masks are not able to prevent others from exposure to the virus, only to prevent groups from exposure to the virus.

Casey was a monste. I remember a game when we were in a close game and they were moving against us, and everyone started yelling Casey, Casey. He then was in their backfield on a regular basis. I think it was against Bethune Cookman

How about JIm Amos. Not a bad pass rusher, especially in the Aggies win over Stanford
  • MBB: Aggies (13-15, 7-5) at UC Santa Barbara (17-9, 6-5) 7 pm Saturday, February 22nd
I remeber a game against Hayward State where number #13 pushed Mark Ford in the back on a breakaway and he crashed hard into the stands. And then, every time Number #13 handled the ball the boos rained down on him from the entire Aggie fans. #13 was eventually removed from the game as he could not handle the crowd any longer. Their coach did him a great favor by doing so! Anyone else remember this game?
  • EWU faculty report critical of football program and athletic department budget.
Athletics builds character, and people learn how to lead men. These are things you cannot learn from books. It is like when Our QB, Jon Grant, led the Aggies to victory over Stanford. Leadership qualities were obvious to coaches and players alike.
  • Best NFL QBs from the FCS
I heard that it wasdn't he could not get on the field at Sac State. I heard (could be a rumor though) that the coach at Sac, at the time, had told O'brien he was a very good QB, and that you cannot complete passes when you are on the ground, and recommended that he transfer to UCD.
If so, that was a very unselfish thing for him to do. O'brien may be the one to ask about this.
  • CAUSEWAY 2019
It was a pick. Refs trying to give Sac the game. Just like the Tony Lays catch ruled out of bounds and he easily had caught it at least a hard in bounds with both feet.

Look at this guy's film as a RB. He definitely has speed and appears that tacklers are missing him. I don't know if it is lesser competition, but he does show speed.

  • Week 12: Montana State @ UC Davis
Actually we have had many QBs who continued the winning at UCD. Biggs, Speck, Moroski, Obrien,
Khari, Daft, O'Sullivan, Bridewell, etc. I am sure I am missing some. But, Sochor (and staff) were the ones who found most of the QBs who were overlooked by the larger schools.
Khari and Daft were such good QBs, I only thought that if they threw the ball an Aggie would catch it (or not). They were very accurate passers. Much like Maier. Also, we have had a few great receivers in our days, but O' Sullivan had the best trio. These guys would catch it and in 2-3 plays they would score. We lost a playoff game to a school, who will go nameless ,as we had about a 28 point lead, and we scored often and fast Our the D was totally exhausted from being on the field for most of the game. And, we then went to the run game to run the clock, and started getting 3 and outs. They came back to beat us something like 53-48.
