3 TOs in three possessions and it’s down to 7 with 6:23 to go. Need some offense quick

Nice mullet in the play by play guy. Offense is a bit stagnant but defense and hustle is still there.

Need TY to settle down a bit - he’s been a little frantic in the second half, trying to do too much. Of course, he’s not had many open looks

I was told both Borra and Roberson are likely done for this season. Mani should be back soon. We really need some size - poor Nico can’t do it alone

you took the words out of my mouth. I think our bid will have a ‘guarantee’ attendance of at least 12000, and that’s made to committee long before field is announced.

I was talking to Biggs in Montana about a bunch of things and that call was brought up by him….still hurts!

What gives me confidence is that the better team has won the causeway for many years. Maybe 2010 was the last big surprise…and we both finished 6-5!

that doesn’t bode well for the Giants!

I just remember last year when the offense rolled in a wet second half. Forecast seems to be getting more favorable

the game i'm thinking about was when the lights went out and they had to evacuate the stadium (almost an hour delay). Looking at the archives, that was 2010 -> 17-16 win.

both 81 and 82 were muddy messes. of course, back then, the turf at Toomey was not great, especially in November! Remember last year, the heavens opened at halftime for a nice downpour...and...the Aggies came out and poured it on!

was 2011 the monsoon year? we were fortunate that night that the weather prediction for torrential downpours came true! had it been an afternoon game, the weather was nice and we'd have gotten beaten pretty well.

I haven’t watched any of Sac other than their game vs MSU, which was really one sided. Cats ran wild and just killed them on defense. After seeing their D in action, I see why that might be the case. We’ll stop the run and make their young QB have to make plays. Our ability to slow down Cat QB gives me confidence we’ll stop that area also. Should be run heavy on offense - their D line is decimated.

No turnovers, no Cat hangover and we win decisively.

last year, Montana AD was influential. Sounds like he was the one pushing to keep us out - they look at us as a sleeping giant so every playoff berth helps to solidify our reputation. This year, we have the Sac guy to contend with!

Santa Clara and Poly were big games for us back in the early 80s because they were competitors for the 2 (I believe) Western slots in the D2 playoffs. In 80, we lost last minute games to both - they played in the quarters, Poly won the championship. That team was up there with 82 as possible Championship level teams.

Stanford Steve didn’t sound like a big fan of the city of Davis

just curious....when did you guys start planning to make this trip? when we were in the pregame, we saw a bus pull up with a full load of Cat fans. I'm guessing that they were coming as part of some trip package. very impressive. i think that was part of what made the night so electric. big contingent of Cat fans, and a strong showing of Ag fans. what was also neat was the large showing of Aggie alumni. We met up the locker room to cheer them on as they walked down to the stadium. Lots of guys, mostly the 90's era, but everyone was fired up and high on this team. Sometimes, the guys from my era was a bit cranky when the current teams get high praise....like to trot out that old 'we were smaller and slower than everybody, but we found ways to win'. it just seems to me back-to-back Montana games are a tad more challenging than the Chico-San Francisco State gautlent. Even when we had to face them with slow, small Ken O'Brien and Bo Eason. Go Ags!

i think the game vs. powerhouse Lincoln of Oakland doesn't count for them. it should be an automatic disqualification!

that makes more sense. It looked like we had a blitz called and either someone blew an assignment or something happened like you described. It was too open from the get-go otherwise. That one hurt….but I think the punt return was the big killer.

I could have made a few bucks scalping beers out of the alumni room.
