I think they might take 4 Big Sky teams. With so many teams bunched up toward the top, we’d need some help. SUU, Weber and NAU are 5-1. EWU Montana Sac and MSU are next at 4-2. MSU plays NAU play each other next week, the others (beside SUU!) should cruise. So even if we upset SUU, there would be 6 or 7 teams ahead. The final week has MSU v Montana and Weber v NAU, so not much help there.

So don’t think so. Weber or NAU will be 8-1 and the other 6-2. EWU 6-2. Then a possible logjam at 5-3 . Montana winning out to finish 6-2 would be bad. Win out and get some upset help from someone like Dakota. We’d need EWU to fold so we could leap over them

I couldn’t much of the field on the reverse so I don’t know what we might have gained if their end didn’t make a really good play. We have occasionally used the fly action as play action to open a back side pass but haven’t seen it as decoy much. That makes predictable. Surprised we didn’t see any wildcat. Went to I-formation once in red zone sucessfully

Kay’s was very good. He was unstoppable on that deep cross which opened up the run game. Tough receiver with great hands. Doss is faster and makes unreal athletic catches. I tend to think of the current era as Aggie Stadium so Tony was just prior. Charlie Enos was fun to watch as was Michael Olivia.
  • Idaho State
Chris Carter was awfully good but Doss does so many things well. And he has size.

I thought we’d win but not with this score. We weren’t that sharp but bengals really helped with bad penalties and that first half turnover. Once it was three scores it seemed safe. When they went to backup QB it was over. Did he walk out in solidarity for kicker? Their announcers didn’t have much insight. A sweep is NOT a fly sweep. We haven’t used a snap count all year. Study. Makes you appreciate marsh and kelly’s preparation for our opponents

That -3 in the fourth quarter was impressive
  • O’Brien to be honored w/ 82 Aggies Nov 11th
Didn’t Roman mention me? Without laughing?
  • Idaho State
No sign of Spencer all game, correct? Even in first and goal from short
  • Idaho State
This was much easier than I expected. Their penalties hurt and that early turnover also. Losing their QB ended any chance.

So is Doss the best Aggie WR EVER?
  • Idaho State
Oddly enough they’ve outgained us in first half. That long drive got them three. Fumble gave us short field. Need d to regroup since they get kickoff. Keep it three score game as long as possible

I purposely excluded Dunnigan due to the closing of Bill and Kathy’s. The loss of such an icon can bode well for our quest. First the
Milk tree then Mr B’s and now Bill and Kathy’s
  • Maier up for player of the week
best i can tell, multiple voting is allowed (encouraged?). facebook post said limited to once/hour.
  • Men's Soccer
we'd have to win the tournament to get a NCAA bid, correct? we haven't been in for quite some time (2008 if not mistaken).
  • Maier up for player of the week
currently 521 vs. 275. let's not 'pull a Poly' and rest on the victory. vote a few more times.

I sorta had it on while watching the world series, and didn't hear anything about the upcoming game. a little bit of post-poly talk, mostly about getting everyone calmed back down post-rivalry so that they can focus on the home stretch. the show is always entertaining, whether its Dan and Kelly just talking, or Dan interviewing another coach, or listening to one of the players. i haven't heard the KSAC version -> i'm assuming they don't have the sound issues we get on Facebook Live.

feel free to forward that the Davis Enterprise!
  • Should Tehran Thomas get more PT?
maybe someone should send in a question via Facebook during the coach's show tonight. i doubt they would address an individual player, but who knows.

when the whole conference reshuffling game was being played out several years back, i'm guessing a very basic weighting system was used in determining potential additions :

    (potential revenues) >>>>>>>>>> (academic ranking)

Pac 12 guy #1 : so, should we add Texas or UC-Davis? Texas is synonymous with football, draws 100,000 per game, would move our footprint into football rabid Texas, and they have the resources to pay us a boatload of money to join. What does Davis bring to the table?

Pac 12 guy #2 : they are the #6 ranked public school in some magazine's survey. They have an adorable dog that gets the kicking tee. The Dixon-Rio Vista corridor is an untapped TV market. Granted, they have a 10000 seat stadium, and would have to move up from FCS....and the local 'major' TV market doesn't realize they play someone besides Sac State..but.....did i mention their academics?

Other Pac 12 guys : Texas it is, and get #2 out of the room.
  • Will the Fans Ever Really Come Back?
there's one other requirement. a conference that wants us! why would the Pac-12 want to add 2 more teams (they are not gonna be the Pac 13) and if they were, they'd head into Texas for big money. We'd have to buy in, and probably buy out of our current conferences. Mountain West? Again, us and who else, because conferences want to have a balanced number to make two equal-numbered divisions? If the MWC lost teams, and needed teams to get to the minimum for two divisions (i think its 12) so they can have a championship game, made. else, no. to be honest, Sac is probably more attractive and they have a stadium that meets the minimum. I would think the Sac Metro area has bigger TV numbers than the greater Dixon-Woodland Metroplex.

and, there's the Tittle IX stuff. add more football scholarships and either add the same for women's, or drop a men's sport.

ain't gonna happen. there is no way a California school will make the transition up. just too expensive, and no suitable conference to jump into.

they mentioned South Alabama in the comments to the article. they had a stadium in place (old, but meets requirements). they are in a rabid football area and had resources (remember they showed up with a Semi with their logo?). they had a conference (a weak one, but a conference) who wanted them.
  • Idaho State
nope, that was my point in us being 'ranked' ahead of Sac. that SUU win is pretty impressive based on the Thunderbirds' victories over Weber and EWU (and their 12 ranking). our best wins are decisive wins over #45 USD and #61 UND. ISU would be another good win along those lines, especially on the road. SUU would be the signature.
  • Idaho State
i'm surprised Sac isn't higher based on their convincing win over SUU. They have the same BSU losses as us, but a 'signature' win.
