  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
we were there two years ago and I remember pizza and some brew food. Nothing elaborate but good location and a lot of beer. You can pay at the place according to team Aggie guy I talked to.

That was the place I was staring at the 5 large TV screens with all their beer choices for about 5 minutes trying to find something to try. Fred Arp walked up and said ‘coors light’. The man knew what he liked
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
starts at 1:00. You might be able to pay at the door, or just get your own food there. If you want, I can ask someone in the department of you can pay at door. Online link is expired

Just hawktoberfest. Simple. Surprise sounds like we were underdogs.
  • Week 8: Big Sky
No Fargo for me; my wife is helping plan our High School 40th reunion and chose the date based on next year’s schedule. Don’t miss any home games OR San Diego. That’s a good wife!
  • Help Needed to Give the Great ISU Win a Commerative Name
My buddy Kriss Smith suggested Hawktoberfest!

I like the ‘Big Huevos’ game to honor the 4th down call in OT. Off-color version of the Egg Bowl
  • Week 7: Homecoming vs. Idaho State
after seeing that facebook post on tuesday showing players cook up tacos.....i'm not sure the 'preheated oven' is a familiar concept to many of these guys!
  • Aggie Stadium
there are a couple boxes in the current stadium that are used to house fans. the chancellor is usually in the one next to the visiting radio broadcasts. its BYOE -> bring your own everything. not sure there are chairs, since they always seem to be standing!
  • Vote for Aggie WR Keelan Doss

  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
I’m going to Montana, passed on EWU. Might rethink that depending on the next copy of games
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
How is the cal poly standard different than CSU?
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
I have no specific cases of who gets in or not; just know that kids have to be qualifiers to have their cases brought to admissions. and that should be it. if a school is holding their athletic departments to higher standards than qualifying, that's an institutional decision that can't be too popular with the program! this isn't a case of letting in a non-qualifier.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
i think the more likely scenario is that Plough gets snapped up. I really don't see Dan leaving for another program, especially with the momentum that is being built from Mrak Hall on down to the football program.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
its not about grades...its just a matter of qualifying. meet the minimum acceptance qualifications (i think its 3.0 in UC required classes) and you are eligible to play at Davis, Berkeley and UCLA.

same is true at Poly....meet the CSU minimum, and they can get you on campus there, the same as at Sac.
  • Aggie Stadium
we are finally getting back to the 2007 attendence levels. be nice to sustain a 9000+ level for a year before we start talking about expanding. Here is a throwback:

    2007:
Western Washington : 9690 (hotter than the surface of the sun)
    Northeastern : 7140 (rain)
    Poly : 10743
    South Dakota State : 9375
San Diego : 8876 (Epic game)

i think we've finally gotten back to a season ticket level on par with 2007, so that helps. should be able to build on that in the future.

I thought the NCAA minimum attendence (not capacity) was 17000, but. As movielover points out, that’s far from a hard requirement. I’ve linked a list of all FBS stadium: Idaho (16000) and UN-Charlotte (15000) were both below that. All MWC are at least 29000, so you’d think that’s a level where they would take a prospective new school seriously.

I thought filling one berm with seats added a couple thousand. It’s the addition of second decks that push it way up.

  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
I think the recruit level has gone up considerably the past two seasons, and should continue to improve with success in the field (and to a point Sac’s and Poly’s, to a lesser extent, struggles)
