  • NCAA's 150 Greatest Coaches
Hard to understand how Belotti DIDN'T make the list. He brought Oregon to national significance.

At the Team Aggie basketball pregame, AgAlum and I were sitting with some long time football folk. Pete's name came up with regard to his stepping down, and everybody at the table gushed about him as a coach and person. Then, another top 150 coach, Chris Ault, was brought up. Not a whole bunch of positive gushing about him!

3-2 would be a hell of a finish. USD is the only team I can see us beating on the road

i agree this this assessment, although last year's team seemed to be the outlier. kept waiting for them to make their big run, and it never happened.

i like this group this year. they have a few guys that can put it on the floor and create a shot/draw a foul, as well as a few guys how can hit the 3's. the FT shooting is better than i remember in some time. And, our rebounding has been at mostly even in all the games. Defense has been solid
  • Tedford resigns; 4 Defensive Cal & Stan players to transfer
Hawkins turned down Tumey once; i doubt he'd a second offer at Fresno.
  • Cal Poly’s Tim Walsh retires
That would be a good hire. Follows the ‘Troy Taylor’ path, although Troy’s move might have been preemptive since Wittingham has a history of getting rid of OC’s. Should be an easy transition going from the rigorous academic standards at EWU to Poly.

we were trying to get some insights Saturday at the basketball game and nothing doing! There are going to be a slew of QB’s in spring, some mobile and some more stationary.

I was driving home from Arnold Thursday and was listening to KTHK. Jason Ross was in for Napier so the subject of Sac State wasn’t forbidden (Napier can be a dick about that; why not put them up?). They were really excited about hosting two games, potentially, and were hoping they could get close to a full stadium even with the weather. That’s too bad.

Any idea what attendance was at Sac? Bee said ‘small crowd’ which is too bad after the run they had. Weather wasn’t too bad although the forecasts were dire. I was disappointed we didn’t fill up our stadium last year and we didn’t have weather as an excuse

Was Dotson hurt? They ran the ball 19 times. Thomson 13 times, Dotson once. Thomson had 30 yards passing in the first half, 275 in the second. Kind of like our game, except Peay moved the ball

Fun game. Huge improvement from Sac game. I like that we have some guys who can take it to the hoop and try to create shots. Important when the 3’s cool off. I liked the contributions from guys like Squire and Fuller on both ends. Pepper had a couple key offensive rebounds that kept them from clawing back in. I really enjoyed watching tonight

I’m coming up, hopefully for not-terrible weather. Looking forward to seeing a change from Sac game. 4 point underdogs which seems about right based on records. We’re coming off 3 strong games, they just lost to St Mary’s

says he had eight 3’s and was 13-13 from FT line. He was special

northridge win was a surprise given their record and how Portland handled us

Mooney’s 35 is the most by an Aggie since Corey Hawkins had 40 at Hawaii. 31 in a half has to be the greatest half ever by an Ag. That’s crazy output!

Koehler is another player who is starting to come around. I thought he looked overwhelmed v Sac, but he’s really settled the last 3 games.

That was pretty impressive. NAU are no world beaters but a 20 point win on the road (LONG road trip) is pretty sweet. Money and Gonzo look like completely different players than they did at Golden 1. Lots of contributions from many players.

Looking forward to being at the Rec Hall Saturday. Hope they get a decent turnout

Pepper was vastly improved in the Pac12 games last week. Getting Squire back will help. I'm hoping we see Printup who missed both games last week, after a really solid game at Portland.
  • FCS School (Jacksonville) to drop football
San Diego loses a Florida roadie, but will pick up a South Carolina trip. those guys travel a heck of a lot of miles!
