Absolutely. He’s a talented player and we could certainly use a big man that can step out and hit a jumper.

I noticed Mani is sweats in the pictures From the first game, but wasn’t sure what the deal was. Also thought I saw someone in a knee brace but didn’t recognize him. Sounds like it’s been a great trip so far. Also saw a picture with the Aggie womens waterpolo team in Split. Pretty cool!

Per their Facebook page, Ags won their first exhibition game. Outcome doesn’t really matter but it is always nice to hear that the Aggies dominated the glass.

• Aggies start the foreign tour with a win over Orange1 Bassano! Ags dominated the glass and shared the ball well, with 11 different players in the scoring column. We travel to Croatia tomorrow to begin our next leg of the tour

Interesting...certainly not at the level of OOC competition as last year, when we visited both UO and Stanford. I'm assuming that we stepped up a level last year due to experienced squad we had, whereas this year has a lot of unknowns. A lot of games close to home, what with the tourney in Stockton.

Yeah that's a good point. I was wondering a little about Covid as just about everyone I know that has traveled internationally recently has come back sick. Of course there should be plenty of time to recovery before school starts, but still...

It's official now...MBB 2022-23

The article about the transfers mentions that Sabel will be one of three European players to suit up for the Aggies next season, joining Megan Jones and Lena Svahholm.

I think it's a little interesting that the transfers are all wing/guard players (all under 6'0). We lost one of our top center's in program history in Stobbart, and we didn't bring in any clear replacement. I know Svanholm is back, and I like what she did at times coming off the bench, but I'm not sure she is the clear answer in the middle. Kennedy has the size, but looked slow in very limited time last year. Harris will get more minutes, of course, but she seemed to be more of a bigger wing player (maybe that changes this year). I am curious about Megan Norris, who red-shirted last year. At 6'3" she's got the size, and after watching some HS clips, looks like she can move pretty well and has a nice jumper. She picked up basketball late so maybe there is a lot of development left in her game.

Agreed. She has a ton of international and Big10 experience. We need wing/guard scoring and she seems to bring that.

UoP, Arkansas st, and cal maritime. And I think we are the “home” team for the game at the golden one against sac st. And then a tba on 12/12. I think that’s it.

Still has a TBA for a home game on Dec 12. Think we had all the other out of conference games nailed except maybe the home game against Arkansas St.

UPDATE: looks like the put out the schedule a little early as they've taken it down. I imagine there will be a press release soon.

There was never an official statement, beyond the “violations of team rules” while they were in so cal. Now that he’s back in the area with the kings, I have seen an unsubstantiated rumor. I’m not going to write it here as I have no idea if it’s true but if you go to the kings subreddit you can probably find it.
