  • WBB: William Jessup (0-0) vs. UC Davis (0-0), Monday, 11/3 at 7:30 PM
Fitzgerald, Baker along with grad transfer where on in sweats. Didn’t see any braces or obvious injuries so hopefully they’ll be back soon. And a terrible site to see when Kanagasabay went down. Certainly looked like an ACL

Team looks like another solid group. It’s definitely Bennet’s team. The offense is just smoother when she’s at point. Liked the look of freshman Ersdala from Sweden and Letnfer from Alaska. Both look like they could develop into big contributors.

Enjoyed the energy in the crowd for last nights game. This team is going to live and die with pace of play. If they can rebound (or create turnovers) and get out in the break, they’ll be very competitive. If they get sucked into a half court game, things might be more difficult. Really liked a few of the newcomers. Most surprised with freshman Chas Rawlings from Folsom. He still needs to get stronger, but he played with a confidence that most first game freshman don’t. Omer started and is a gifted offensive player. He will need to toughen up his defense. Also looking forward to Fagbeymi when he gets over his wrist issue. Essos-Essis was in a boot so not sure what his prognosis will be. All in all, this should be a fun team to watch this season. And if some of the younger players develop over the season we will be a tough out come BW tourney.

I’ll be there for the doubleheader on Monday!
  • Favorite restaurant in Davis
Silver Dragon closed. There is another Chinese place there, Tasty Kitchen.

I like all of those. I’d add Yang Kee

Saw Niko at the football game last night. Honestly think his off court leadership will mean as much as his on court contributions.
  • 2025 WVB
Great start to the BW season. I need to get out to a match
  • Sac / Cal Poly
Thanks ES2X. I'll be there with about 7 others sitting on the 50 (section 103 I believe). Looks like the weather will be perfect.
  • WBB - 2026 Recruitung Class
Thanks for putting this together. Definitely an intriguing group.

New assistant coach and chief of staff:

I’m also hearing that there is another addition to the staff (a G league coach). Not sure what that role will be at Davis, but we should see something soon.

Looks like Vic Baker has another year.

  • 2025 MBB Recruiting and Transfers
Big news with Nico returning. He'll certainly provide leadership and a solid defensive presence. With him and Chappell and Noudjihidi it gives us some interesting options in the middle.
  • 2025 MBB Recruiting and Transfers
Yeah every year I hope that we see the Roberson that was a big recruit out of high school. And every year something happens to him. I’ve tempered my expectations.
  • 2025 MBB Recruiting and Transfers
yeah that’s him. Kind of interesting prospect. Good size but apparently plays a lot of point. Interesting to see if he makes an immediate impact or is someone that the staff develops.
  • 2025 MBB Recruiting and Transfers
Well I figured our recruiting was about done, but I guess not

  • 2025 MBB Recruiting and Transfers
To be honest, I wasn't too far away from your point of view on Les. After watching the team implode late last season (and really look awful in Henderson), there was part of me that was ready for a new vision/direction. Hopefully the bump in recruiting will result in a more competitive team next year.

I was thinking she's the first Aussie recruit also. Her X profile lists her as class of 2026.
  • 2025 MBB Recruiting and Transfers
Probably not a coincidence that the two programs moving to the MW had good recruiting classes
  • 2025 MBB Recruiting and Transfers
and it’s nice to see us getting guys over some bigger programs. Abdullah had offers from Utah, South Carolina and Wyoming

So our squad is probably set now:

    Post: Jon Noudjihidi 6’11”
    Isiah Chappel 6’9”

    Wings: Ylan Esso-Essie 6’8”
    Omer Suljanovic 6’9”
    Abdullah Amir 6’7”
    Marsalis Roberson 6’6”
    Nils Cooper 6’5”
    Jalen Stokes 6’5”
    chase Rawlings 6’6”
    Marcus Wilson 6’4”
    Sione Lose 6’4”
    Carl Daughtery 6’3”

    Point: Braden Fagbeymi 6’0”
    Connor Seville 6’0”

    I think that’s everyone.
