I'm not going to make it. But I'll be there next week for the double header exhibition.
  • Exhibition DH Set for Men's and Women's Basketball
Yeah, I think I remember that game. CSUN also had another tall player (I want to say about 6'3") that really killed us in the BWT championship game. Seems like we focused so much on Fluker that the other player dominated (not sure if she's back). Of course it didn't help that our 3 pt shooting was awful that game. Big arena, with few fans in it, really plays tricks on the depth perception.

Looking forward to seeing Stobbart play. Highly regarded player from Canada and has been learning from the best (Bertsch) for a year. Throw in the development of Hall and Bessolo, and outside shooting from Toole, and it should be a great year. Have to get over the BWT hump, though. I've seen dominate teams go down in flames in Anaheim the last two years.

Yeah, replacing 3/5 of your starting lineup can be tough, but it certainly seems like the Ags have the pieces to step right in. I must admit that I don't know what CSUN has returning other than Fluker, so it'll be interesting to see how this season plays out. Go Ags!

interesting. I’ll settle for a stream that works all the time.

Really good review of the Big West MBB. Has the Ags at 4th but in the top tier.

I hadn’t heard about this. Thanks for posting.
  • Week 7: Homecoming vs. Idaho State
largest crowd in Aggie stadium history according to a tweet by Kevin blue. What a finish!!
  • 2018-19 MBB Big West Conference Predictions
Getting excited for BBall season. Men's and women's should both contend, and with the football team doing its thing, it's a good time to be an Aggie!
  • Week 7: Homecoming vs. Idaho State
There's a whole mess of issues that the band has to deal with now that we didn't back in the day. Liability, the whole social climate, overbearing band directors, etc, all lead to a much different experience. As for going to away games, it was easier when the farthest game was Humboldt or CSUN.

But I do know that the trip to SLO is always a highlight, so I'd be shocked if they didn't go this year.

Yeah, SVP even made the comment about nobody probably bet this one.
  • UCSB's Men's BB HC Implicated in College BB Corruption Trial
I would think this would be a pretty big PR issue for UCSB.
  • Tercero gun crime, Davis crime spree
I was at the apple store in Sac a few weeks ago and 4 "kids" in hoodies ran in and started ripping iphones and macs from the display tables. They ran from table to table for at least a minute before heading out and down the mall. All the employees were very calm and didn't try to stop them. It was a scary although it was clear that if you didn't try to stop them they wouldn't touch you, but still. I hear that it is a fairly common occurrence now at Apple stores.
  • 18-19 Roster
Interesting...oh well, I guess we'll find out soon enough.
  • Week 4: Idaho @ UC Davis
I caught the last 10 minutes of Rudy last night. Yep, add ND to the list.
  • Week 4: Idaho @ UC Davis
Almost positive Ohio State is still all brass. Seeing a game at UM and OSU are both definitely on the bucket list.
  • Week 4: Idaho @ UC Davis
we sat next to a family from Pennsylvania dropping their daughter off, so I agree I think a decent number of freshman were either still moving in or may have gone to the game with family.
  • 18-19 Roster
Gut feeling is that he's gone. I tried to look through the media day video they put out about a week ago, and I didn't see him....

This would certainly open up that wing spot for someone to step up. Les has shown over the years that he likes to use that spot as the defensive stopper (Michael, White, Johnson). Can't see a freshman stepping into that role right away, but maybe someone like Nelson who red-shirted last year, or go with either Mooney or Printup. I guess Fuller is the x factor. Even though he's a freshman, he has a lot of international experience that could make the transition to D1 ball a little easier. Regardless, the core is intact and there are a lot of good pieces that will help this team contend for the BW championship again.
  • Moving Up In Polls
Obviously a huge game for us this week. A win and we continue to climb in the polls. But equally as important, it's the first (and in some cases, only) chance that the program has to influence the new batch of students (and freshman parents who may still be in town for move-in). Not saying that kids will or won't go to future games based solely on Saturday, but a good experience with a true college environment, exciting offensive football and most importantly, a victory, will certainly influence the way these freshman view the team, and whether they decide to come to future games.

Weather shows mid 80's and sunny for Saturday. All lining up for a good crowd!

    Go Ags!
