Bringing this thread back now that we are more than halfway through the season.
The Ags are going to need all the help they can get over the final 2 home games.

The students need to literally be told how to make noise at a football game. They don't know what to do. They are also starting to sit in increasing numbers (in the student section).

This can be fixed in about 2 minutes if Darius can grab the mic for a couple mins pre-game and give a pep talk. He'd know what to say, I'm sure.

Moving to D1 / FCS in 2003 was an attainable goal with a landing spot in Great West Conference (with the eventuality of the Big Sky, who added 6 schools a few years later - UNC 2006, UCD CP UND SUU 2012). I seriously doubt we'd have been able to upgrade facilities to FBS levels at the time anyway (if the MWC/WAC had been knocking)- way too big a jump for Davis at one time. And "geography" still mattered back then, so those cross-county conferences weren't ever an option like they are now.

Moving up the ladder over time as we have seems prudent. But how much time are we talking here? It would be nice to hear some kind of timeline from the AD- we talking 2030, 2050, whenever? Give us something....

Second half of the season started last Saturday, and the Aggies played their best game.

I think the Ags go to Cheney and break the curse. Confidence must be high in the locker room this week.

So does this seal Sac's fate as being left out of the MWC, as the conference has reached the required amount of football teams?

MWC doesn't look half-bad considering the absolute carnage over the past few months:

"Drop football" ....what?! I'd argue the football program is stronger at his moment than its ever been. The talent level on the field and revenue off it have got to be at all-time highs.
The Athletic Department made about $5 million to $6 million last year. I'd say this is mostly from football. Football is very important to the university athletics program.

could have been Alexander on a PI ….but Alexander was also blocked in the back…all kinds of contact everywhere on that hectic play. Receiver didn’t look like he was anywhere near where he needed to be.

I love it....a couple plays ago, a CP player on the sideline talked some trash to Lan. Lan points to the scoreboard.

A few plays later, Lan embarrasses the Poly defense with the leap. Letting his play on the field do all the talking.

Dobbins is a PLAYER. Looking forward to seeing more of him.
