Annoying we get the MSU broadcast at a home game.

I've got two sick kids (soft) and will be watching from home. Super bummed.
    Go Aggies!

    Man, I love this board.
A meathead like myself (Pol. Sci.) can come for material that serves as mental beatdown and bedtime reading. I love the graphics....me. love. picture. I was hoping the last line would be: "In conclusion, Sac State sucks."

But seriously, this is really cool. Montana State in its own cluster in each cluster grouping is very telling, and checks out.

An overflow crowd with excited but nearly silent fans is the weirdest experience. Expecting huge noise on opening-drive defense and hearing nothing is wild. The Idaho game was almost like the silent treatment...maybe it was equally as distracting to the opposing team :D

Hopefully this is different for tomorrow's game, and it might be given the promotion and high stakes! Like I said earlier this year in the "Attendance" thread, a knowledgeable student needs to grab the mic and help these kids who aren't football fans. UC Davis Health Stadium has HUGE potential. The students need to understand they can impact the outcome of the game, and that the rest of the stadium follows the students' lead!

On the plus side, the Aggies have shown they can win a big game at home in relative silence (Idaho).

Jake started 3 games in 2021, 9 in 2022 and has started ever since.
It is cool to see a lot of familiar names in the CFL.

Yep. Can't blame 'em. Start beating them more consistently and that changes.

.....locating the whereabouts of the AST banner/flag.

4 dudes trying to coordinate while living in different parts of the country is only slightly more challenging than 4 dudes trying to coordinate living near the same campus.....but not by much :D

I listened to that game on the radio while I painted my first son’s room. He was a month old (also he was downstairs haha) . Core memory! That was a fun W for sure. Before streaming.

At play-off games UCD students will have to pay to attend while in the regular season they have free admission.Jackbacker2

12/1/18 First D1 playoff game (vs. Northern Iowa).... 8,306 in attendance. Our students aren't going to pay to see a football game, we can barely get them to show up for free.

Didn't Hawkins pull some strings to make that game free for students (or am I misremembering?)

Those are the kinds of people who make noise at games.

At least flip USD and Richmond on that version of the bracket, yeah? Maybe even USD and Mercer?

Great stuff @ 6:30. Love an intelligent football team. Definitely has always been a major strength of this program....nowadays, we are blessed with the physical gifts as well which makes it even more fun as a fan- as the W's are coming consistently at the D1 level.

Like I said somewhere on here earlier, lots of progress as a program since joining the Big Sky in 2012, and in a relatively short amount of time since the 2017 season.

This was a good watch. Thanks for posting.

Gotta figure out a way to close In-n-Out for a couple days. Home town advantage!
  • 2024 Week 12: #2 Montana State (10-0) @ #4 UC Davis (9-1)
To my eye Fisher is on a different level than Perez. Gotta think its Harper as QB1 next year based on the program history of rewarding seniority and commitment to the program. Harper should have a complete grasp of the playbook and total confidence in what to do with the ball after so many years in the program. Things should be interesting though as Rasor and Pinnick both got snaps vs. UNC. Wrighster looks more physically gifted than all of them.

    We digress!

Hastings run an average of 0 times a game, so to me Mellott is Michael Vick.
Watching him torch Sac State a few times last week was pretty scary. A mobile QB can really stretch the defense.

Also, I hear tickets are sold out for visiting fans.
jk haha....Aggie Stadium is a great place to watch a game...way too nice for visiting teams though.

Obviously keeping Mellott for running everywhere is an issue. But there are many other weapons to deal with. Its going to take a very prepared and disciplined defense for the Ags to win this one. Coombs (DC) has delivered every week this season- very impressive coaching job. I think at this point in the season, the Aggie defense is playing at an elite level.

I think Davis can score 40 (might be the best offense the Bobcats have faced, averaging 48 in the second half of the season), the question is whether the Ags can slow down the Bobcats and keep them under their average of 42.

Davis is much improved all-around in the second half of their season. Definitely playing their best ball on both sides.

This is going to be a helluva game and I'm looking forward to it.

Their fans aren't entirely wrong. Montana State has consistently been in the elite team category. UC Davis hasn't.

UC Davis in D1 is still relatively a young program....only having joined the Big Sky in 2012.

Aggies have only played 3 FCS playoff games. Bobcats have played 16 FCS playoff games during the same timespan (including a National Championship game).
