Can this guy be a successful HC? Time will tell.

We've had the best experiences and some bad experiences with HC's. In our recent bad experience.....With Gould everything looked good coming in (great recruiter, attitude, energy, resume), but it never translated into W's.

One thing Marion has that Gould didn't was the immediate impact the portal can make.
Like I said previously, Marion has a tall task getting all these guys settled in, on the same page, and doing what they are supposed to do on and off the field in a super short amount of time. This would be a masterclass in motivation and leadership.

Did anybody else notice from the Championship broadcast that Montana ran a University advertisement?AggieFinn

It was a thing of beauty! Masterful trolling.

"Whether people like it or not, Sacramento State has the financial backing and talent pool to become the premier college football power on the West Coast. They will be a Power Five program within 15 years so establishing good relations with them now is crucial."

This made me chuckle a little.
  • How do I post an X (Twitter) Post directly into a thread?
We are all good for funding presently!
Aggie6thman used to do some nice blog posts, but sadly no longer visits the site.

What's happening at Davis is pretty unique. These guys are buying into a culture and system 100%, and actually sticking around to see it through. It seems there is a real and deep attachment to the program and people.
Developing high character, 0-2 star guys like the Gilliam, Doss, Teddye, Connors, Larison etc. over 4-5 years seems more appealing to me long-term.

It'll be a tall task for Sac to get all these guys on the same page and performing as a unit in a really short amount of time. Taylor seemed to have this going and in the beginning stages. I guess this is where Marrion shows how good he is at this thing.... A master-class in motivation and leadership. It can be done.

Still might beat them with his feet too….

Forcing Tommy to beat them in the air. So far, not good.
  • Is there any action on the transfer portal?
This is pretty cool for these guys. A new "bonus" adventure and free graduate education.
Happy to see it happen for Teddye and Chubba last year as well.
  • @ Utah Tech 2025 Road Trip
This one is penciled in on my calendar! Could be another East Bay AST adventure...

I saw that too. Second half of the season, the offense turned it on. Having an athletic TE with great hands helps a lot....Danny Fells!
