Alright, so expanded the pipe and canvas tent in the North end zone (more shade is always welcome) and we re-painted some stuff.

Pretty much, wouldn't expect anything major for a couple more years

I could see this maybe spanning the entire endzone. Cheap "upgrade" and temporary so no commitment. It looks pretty good tbh.

Looks better than before but I still think a beer garden would be great in that end zone. Maybe upper half of the grass could be covered, shaded area with seats and a bar. And the lower area closer to the field could be stand up table type rows, but hopefully closer together than Cal Poly's. Pictures like this one make me think there is a bunch of wasted empty concrete area in Cal Poly's design.

Do the addition of chairback seats in the end zone tent artificially increase capacity for fire marshall/reporting purposes?

(I say artificially because you probably could cram more people on the grass, I just wonder if the amount of seats increases official capacity)

I might be in the minority here.....but I'm not a fan of this design.

economically, beer gardens are a good way to get value from an area that would have low/no ticket sales. I would expect Cal Poly to replace the beer garden with multiple rows of seating when demand increases.

I couldn’t really see Davis building a permanent beer garden because it would cost a good amount of money to remove the grass end zones and replace them with concrete seating areas. It would just be more economical to keep them as general admission and build grandstand or double deck seats on the visitor sideline. Maybe on the side of the luxury box where there will be no seats? Temporary beer garden? I already posted about that earlier in the thread.

At the current stadium my buddy and I always enjoy walking the concourse at halftime. Spacious enough to keep the people moving. If the inner pathway is congested (especially in front of Edwards)
You can divert to the back by the concessions on the East or West side. With renovations I hope they keep it similar.

This is one of the best things about the stadium. The openness of the endzone grass and the concourse. You can experience the game from almost any point of view.

Same here. My wife and I always take a stroll around the stadium. Enjoy the family vibe in the endzones, and interesting to run into visiting fans on the opposite side. Most are friendly.....exception were the Montana State fans a couple years back when they litterally drank the stadium dry. I could have recouped my season ticket costs by scalping beers from the halftime hospitality and/or Bruce Edwards room (footbal alumni no-host bar)!

I had the same experience with the MSU fans...not unfriendly but kind of distant and not really wanting to chat.
