I thought he had graduated and his collegiate career was done. I wonder if we knew he would be granted a 5th year of eligibility? He was a solid player for us.

    A way-too-early look at each MW’s team’s NCAA Tournament chances in 2026-27
The Mountain West will be vying for multiple NCAA Tournament bids in 2026-27. But who currently has the best odds?

    UC Davis:
Skinny: UC Davis has won 18-plus games in three of the last four seasons, last appearing in the NCAA Tournament in 2016-17. They were one of the seven aforementioned Big West teams who finished above .500 in conference play and retained some of their top talent, namely Connor Sevilla and Brayden Fagbemi. Still, there is an adjustment period playing in a different conference, especially since this group will be worse, which lessens its opportunity.

Matt’s unofficial, uncalculated odds: <1 percent

How are we watching basketball this season now that we’re in the Mountain West? I thought it was free last season, but I think they are making it a paid subscription now.

The Mountain West conference's direct-to-consumer streaming platform, MW+, costs $79.99 annually or $10.99 monthly.

A limited-time early adopter promotion reduces the annual price to $67.99 (15% off) through September.

You can sign up directly at the MW+ Official Streaming Portal.Subscription Plans & PricingMonthly Plan: $10.99 per month.Standard Annual Plan: $79.99 per year.

Early Adopter Annual Rate: $67.99 per year (available through July, August, and September

Be sure to select UC Davis as your team when you sign up. I think some of the proceeds will benefit the Aggies then.

Worth noting that nationally televised conference and home noncon games, of which there will be a lot more than in the BW, likely won't be available on MW+. Some time ago in the thread I did a back of the napkin calculation to guess that maybe one in four games would fall into this more limited category.

MWC TV partners are Fox, CBS, and The CW -- so to see every possible broadcast you'd want a cable or streaming option that has as much as possible of Fox, FS1, FS2, CBS, CBS Sports Net, and The CW. I use Hulu With Live TV which has all of them but I've seen mention of others like a Youtube TV sports plan.

So to break it down, especially in conference season, I'm guessing you're looking at 3/4 of the games on MW+, then the need for some cable TV plan (or a sports bar) for the rest.

The MW+ is also carrying the Olympic sports like soccer and volleyball etc but not every Olympic sports game. Some will be on ESPN+ as well or only on ESPN+. So it looks like it will be a mixed bag of networks in order to see everything.

Where did you see the ESPN+ inclusion by any chance? It makes sense to me but I haven't found anything from the MWC on it

I'm seeing sports like Men's and Women's Soccer listed as being on both MW+ and ESPN+ in their composite schedule. Nothing posted for basketball yet.

Gotcha -- looks like those are the away games at conferences like the Big West that have ESPN partnerships. At our level I guess it still might be the norm for away noncon games.

Unless something changes, I saw this schedule (https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/schedule/_/id/302/uc-davis-aggies) on ESPN.

It seems like we are not playing Air Force, New Mexico, UNLV, and Wyoming. I was kind of hoping we'd play Air Force

That’s not the whole schedule. Ags host Unlv on Jan 19th per the Unlv website and we host Air Force on Feb 6

It looks like the Mountain West schedule is on Tuesdays and Saturdays as opposed to Thursdays and Saturdays in the Big West.
