They were one of the worst teams of my lifetime (early 1970s). Even Temple and UMass had some decent years, but rarely IU. The Bobby Knight teams of my childhood were easy to get on board with, but all I imagine when I remember the football stadium there was that it had an odd shape and nobody was there!

Cignetti had a very solid blueprint, one which it looks like Chesney at UCLA is following. Find a tough, G4 coach with a boatload of 3- and 4-star talent. Poach the best players with the most to prove from that program and have them follow the coach. Spend your money on areas of critical need (for IU, it was the Offensive Line, RBs, and one WR) and take mostly guys with more than a year remaining. Mendoza was a trash heap guy by Portal standards. Develop them, play together in year one, then the magic occurs in year two. Really happy for the Hoosiers, especially the fan base! You have hurt long enough :grin:

The new episode with Coach Plough is one of my favorite to date. Coach Plough dropped a lot of interesting information in this one regarding the transfer portal and the roster going forward. Great stuff! Would have been all that much better if Dwight had been on as well!

Couldn't play it either. Maybe subscription had lapsed? Paid for that, still not loading up.

Worked fine for me. Try different browsers. I have to hop between browsers for different Spotify content. It's not the best app

The new Aggie Pride podcast says they “hope” to fix it this evening.
It does require a subscription. The only device i have associated with the subscription is an iphone.

An aggiepridepodcast subscription is required for this episode. Its only available on spotify so far.. Unfortunately i set my authentication for the spotify account associated with the aggie pride subscription to use an apple digital keychain so I can’t try another non-apple device.

I did my subscription through the Spotify app (not a Spotify subscription but only to tje podcast). There may be a locked icon on this show and just use that. When I did mine I scrolled down and got a link to subscribe. It doesn’t show up as a subscription on my iPhone. It comes as “Spotify for creators” or something like that in emails at billing cycles.

Never got the episode to play but was able to read the transcript. Plough conveys excitement about the team. He is really high on the transfers. Said that two of our top recruits last year, Totten and Knoos were still recovering from ACL and hip injury respectively, which contributed to them looking to the portal for a safety and linebacker. Said the transfer linebacker was their top rated recruiting target in 2024 class, so excited. High on the transfer running back as a complement to Fisher. Stressed that the QB transfer is not looking for a temporary spot and is willing to put in the work and compete here. Says defensive line has good depth. Said Biggs is working with Axel Eason. Said new special teams coach Cody vonAppen committed long term to coach special teams. Said they were still trying to get two recruits to sign

Not really. Mentioned tthe Mormon on a mission, and the new recruit from Idaho being injured in his last high school game as leading to need to add a qb.

Plough mentioned a true freshman wide receiver they think highly of. The transcript didn’t catch the name correctly and thought it was Sevelli or something like that. I think it was likely Parnell. Did you catch the name? Parnell is an interesting case, nationally known high school, impressive list of offers and no stars.

I know he mentioned Hennessy. True freshman this last season, but he said that he's been putting in a ton of work this off-season so far.

He was the only QB to not be mentioned by Plough. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the TT treatment due to his athleticism

I think I found what you were talking about. He was talking about freshman TE Edward Khutsishvili. That's the only thing I can find that kind of fits what you described.
