There is scant information about the Pioneers of Angwin, California, a hamlet in Napa County. Their record speaks for itself, but it is also worth noting that they do not have a single player whose scoring averages in double figures. As a team, they average around 60 ppg. while allowing nearly 90. This against a lot of other NAIA schools. Their most notable opponent to data e has been Chico State. ‘Nuff said. This is not a good team. Ags could win by 40.

I use to race mountain bikes at the Pacific Union college. The Napa Valley Dirt Classic and the Howell Mountain Challenge were both hosted there. There is a good article about the time George Bush hosted local politicians for a mountain bike ride on those trails. He crushed everyone and pissed off secret service because he didn't want to be followed by atvs.

I was just checking the roster for the Pioneers. Kind of an interesting mix. 7 kids from CA, a couple for TN, a couple from AZ, one from Austrialia (va Orange Coast College) and an mixture of other states. A couple don't have a hometown listed, which makes me remember my wasted youth watching professional wrestling on Channel 40 with the masked wrestlers hailing from 'Parts Unknown'.

Anybody planning on attending? I expect I’ll be there solo - wife doesn’t seem too interested with 2 big west coming up later this week. Trying to entice her with a good post game dinner

they are 0-11 with an average deficit of 30 points…..and that’s vs D2 level teams. I think you might be leaving by the second media timeout.

Interesting - Menlo, who we kind of struggled to put away, is currently 1-10.

I'm likely to tune in and tune out to see if there's any chance of an upset.

We'll miss this one...busy holiday calendar has gotten in the way. Go Ags!

It's apparent that Coach Les is using this game to give the backups some court time. I see Rawlins and Franklin out there. 27-6 Ags.

Garbage time started with about 8 minutes to go. Lots of heat checks by the Ags and sloppy play in general. Pioneers at one point were hitting only 11% of their shots. Don't have much reason to keep watching except to see all if the Ags score and except for Franklin, they've already done that.

40-19 Ags at the half. A generally unimpressive performance by the Ags so far against a very over-matched opponent.

We seem to play to the level of our opponents.

We got back from the CU/Northern Colorado game a little bit ago. The kid from Bellarmine in San Jose was on fire and scored 31 (?) for the Bears in a pretty big upset.

What's the Davis score? It isn't updating on my phone.

Sloppy game. Played with intensity in defense, especially in first half, but couldn’t hit open outside shots. Almost had issues getting good shots against their zone. It’s hard to focus when you know you should win by 50….even Les was subdued!

I asked radio guys about Sevilla - they said they thought it was nothing serious and he would have played had it been a normal game.

I sure hope we start hitting our 3's better as conference play gets underway in earnest.

The TV feed was bad in the 2nd half - and there were no 2nd half stats for . . . Reasons.

With about 6:18 left in the 2nd half Rawlings was on a break and made a move to pass to a player in the corner - but with an amazing fake took the ball to the hoop. It was right in front of me and it was just amazing - got oohs and aahs from the crowd. The video picks up again just before it happens. not as dramatic in the video as it was from courtside. My son and I ate it up with a spoon.

The first half was enh but the Ags’ intensity was much better after the break.

Now for the stuff that counts.

As a freshman Rawlings is getting some good minutes. I think he’s going to be an impact player going forward. He was a star at Folsom High.
