MSU is 10th in big sky in sacks per game but still first in passing defense. That’s a pretty impressive DB room stat. Looks like our receivers have to get open. With no pressure , I think we all can agree Caden is as efficient as anyone in the nation. Our side by side stats look pretty even, we just have to stop the run and this game should be close

Tall task ahead in Bozeman against what is clearly the class of the Conference at this point of the season. Injuries and excuses won't matter tomorrow night, time to dance with the ones you brought. That being said, to pull the upset:

1. Everyone has to be available for the duration of the game. Missing a guy for a series or two could be the difference at critical positions.
2. MSU will need to help the Ags in some way. Come out overconfident and overhyped, turn the ball over, screw up on Special Teams, stupid penalties, whatever. They will need to provide hope and opportunities.
3. That being said, the Aggies will need to capitalize on any and every opportunity, something they have yet to do. They've had chances to blow out several opponents and haven't gotten it done. I'm not saying they have to score on every drive; they need to score when opportunity presents itself.
4. Keep it close going into the 4th quarter to give yourself a chance to win. By close, I'm talking within 14 points and the ball in possession. Then it only takes a score, a stop, and another score to make it an entirely new ballgame. Davis has gamebreakers at WR, RB, and QB. One play, one missed tackle, on great block. Give yourself the "puncher's chance" I talked about earlier.

This is a big night for UC Davis Football and for the Big Sky brand. Compete your asses off, find joy in the opportunity, and GO AGS!

I’ll add that special teams need to be on target. No blocked field goals or blocked punts when we’re kicking. And with the crowd noise, keep motion penalties and other penalties down to a minimum. We can’t afford to have TDs called back in this one.

Regarding players who may burn a year by playing in the next game or the next two games, freshmen who have played in 3 or 4 games so far are Cory McEnroe, Brayden Ross, and Mason Walsh. Cory and Brayden have appeared in 4 games, Walsh 3. These guys have played on special teams, but in addition Cory appears on the depth chart behind Rutchena.

I think that aside from the payday, playing at Husky Stadium gave us the benefit of dealing with some crowd noise, especially early in the game there. You are absolutely spot-on; we don't necessarily have to be great on Special Teams, we just can't shoot ourselves in the foot.

CP was amazing in the early season re: TOs, if he can reach 1 TO or less, that will be huge. He is amazingly poised for Freshman. A Big Play would help. Has their offense ever been shut down I successive series? If I recall, they have two excellent backs.

ISU: we lost by 2, MSU won by 34

Agreed. I was in Bozeman in 2022. One of the reasons the Aggies lost then was poor kickoff coverage and strategy. The pooch kicks absolutely did not work (sound familiar) and Sean Chambers was a beast that night. When healthy he was a very good runner and a better passer than Mellot. Montana State fans were very civil.

It was announced that Disney and YouTube TV have come to terms, so ESPN2 should be back available by tomorrow on that platform. The relevant part of the settlement is that sometime in 2026, YouTube TV will begin including ESPN+ access.

Yes, if you are a YouTube TV subscriber, all of the ESPN regular channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) along with ABC are already back up and active.

Subscribers are also eligible for a $20 credit refund and should have already received and email from YT regarding that. The email has a link that you can follow to claim the credit. I have already done that and it was an easy, straightforward process.
