Hard fought 3 - 1 win over UCI. Last set really tense...1-2 points either way until Ags took control at 19-19. Good to win a tough one. Crowd was definitely into it. Fun to be there.

The Ags came back from being down 2 sets to beat UC San Diego 3-2 in 5 sets (21-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-15, 15-12) to move to 5-0 in conference play which is the best ever Big West Conference start. They are now 9-4 overall and are riding a 6 game winning streak. The win sets up a battle for 1st place in the conference with Long Beach State on this Saturday, October 11 at 11 a.m. in the University Credit Union Center.

Aggie fans can make Saturday a double header by going to the volleyball game at 11 a.m. before attending the Aggie football game vs Northern Arizona later at 4 p.m. Aggie volleyball fans can do the same as well. This makes for a great day of watching the Aggies battle for 1st place in both volleyball and football in their respective conferences. Go Ags!

The Matadors are currently 5th in the Big West at 3-3, 10-7 overall. Definitely a tougher matchup than the last place Roadrunners (1-6 BW, 4-15 overall).

Dan Conners has his team on fire. The Big West has a great history of volleyball. Let's hope the 2025 team can net UCD first BW conference title and go to the big dance. The team's current RPI is 62!

HUGE weekend for the Aggies. UCD needs to take care of business at UC Irvine on Friday and at Fullerton on Saturday. Long Beach travels to Cal Poly on Friday and UC Santa Barbara on Saturday. Davis winning both road matches could solidify possession of 1st place.

The Aggies take 3 straight from the Anteaters in Irvine. Tonight's Long Beach-Cal Poly match in SLO sure to be of interest to Coach Dan Connors and his team.

Sort of pulling for The Beach, since Cal Poly holds the tie-breakers over Davis. Either way, the tie for 2nd place will broken.

Another crucial week on the road, for the Aggies as they try to win their first ever Big West regular season championship - and their first championship of any kind since 1996.

On Friday, Davis takes on Long Beach, currently tied for 3rd with Santa Barbara, after dropping matches to both the Gaichos and Cal Poly last week. Mathematically still in the race, a loss to the Aggies ends title hopes for the Beach. Davis took the match in Davis, 3-1.

[Correction: The day before, on Thursday evening], Santa Barbara hosts 2nd place Cal Poly in a must win for both teams. A CP loss, coupled with an Aggie victory, would put UCD two matches ahead in the standings with only 3 left to play. A CP win puts the pressure on the Aggies since Cal Poly holds the tie-breaker.

The Age follow-up on Saturday at UCSD, which took UCD to a 5th set earlier in the year. Davis were twice down a set before coming back to win.

An Aggie sweep this week would all but clinch the regular season championship.

    GO AGS!!
