Pardon my lack of knowledge but how did Idaho win that game yesterday?

I know there are a ton of injuries, but if the defense and special teams don't have a come to Jesus moment this week then the season is pretty much done. If they play like they did today we will lose out the rest of the season.

I watched the game - well the second half the next morning due to being on the east coast - and my immediate thought about the game is that NAU went way too conservative on their last drive when they could have iced the game with a first down. Three runs and out after having moved the ball with short passing game mixed in.

After listening to the Monday press conference, I’m really worried about our health on offense. It sounds like a big part of the red zone issues were due to Vargas, Dobbins and Jones being out. I don’t rent if the last two cans back in, but Vargas had his helmet off the entire second half.

Just realized that I have subscriptions to YouTube Tv and ESPN+ and I STILL won’t be able to watch the game…

Why is that? I have YouTube TV and ESPN+ as well. You should be able to get the game on ESPN+. The regular ESPN channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) are the channels that have been affected by the YouTube TV and Disney contract dispute not ESPN+.

ABC is also out right now on YouTube TV as well. I hope they get this thing settled pretty soon. The greed involved with these big media corporations is out of control. Man, what a dog eat dog world it is when it comes to all these mergers and money grabs...

Mistook weeks. Next week I’m screwed unless Disney and YouTube comes to an agreement. I can’t watch ESPN or Espn2 games with just espn+ subscription.

I'm in the same boat. Hopefully, this dispute will be settled by then. I'll be looking for another provider if this goes on much longer.

Hulu Live TV is an option. You can also subscribe to “ESPN Unlimited” which includes the broadcast ESPN channels in addition to the streaming-only content (currently in a promo bundle with Disney+ for $29). Or Sling TV has a $5 “day pass” that includes ESPN.

In this case, I don’t know that it is clear which company is the bigger villain. Both sides are flexing.

I couldn’t get Monday night football last night. Most of my channels are through youtube tv. As blue said, if the dust doesn’t settle soon I’ll need to switch providers or fork out mose cash for a secondary subscription.

I am also pessimistic about the guys being unavailable on offense.
I think Plough plays fewer players than we did under Hawkins, and the lack of experienced depth hits at a bad time.

How many lower leg injuries have we endured this season? Many have come at home. Someone in the program should investigate two things: the playing surface and the shoes. Maybe there is nothing to it, but this seems odd to me. Not all of these "field turf" artificial surfaces are created equal, and not all of the sub work is done at the same high standard. Same with cleats. Some are great, some are real crap, and there are a bunch that fall somewhere in between. Feels to me like too many toe/foot/ankle/knee issues to be "bad luck" or "one of those years".

Injuries have this negative flywheel effect where injuries beget more injuries because those who can stay healthy, have to shoulder more of the load as the season goes. This is more true the earlier in the season those injuries occur - and unfortunately the injury bug came early this year.

Seems like last year we were high on our training personnel for keeping injuries down to a minimum. I agree something is off.

All valid points above. It just seems odd the number of foot issues. Taping only goes so far. Turf toe often happens on bad synthetic surfaces (although not the only contributing factor), and Plough alluded to Vargas dealing with a nagging toe injury all season. Does anyone know the age of our turf? Or if Adidas cleats are actually any good? The things I ponder on a Tuesday afternoon
