Harvard, Dartmouth and Columbia finished the season with 5-2 league records. Harvard and Dartmouth were 8-2 overall while Columbia was 7-3. Harvard defeated both Dartmouth and Columbia during the season. Gotta think Harvard would have represented the Ivies in the playoffs....but then they may decide things by debate or submitting a thesis.
I'm not too familiar with Ivy Football, but I'd have to guess its a more competitive auto-bid than the Pioneer. Maybe they'll drop the Pioneer for Ivy.
The Pioneer should still get a bid. Without it, maybe a few schools drop football? Either way, it is good to have them as it allows the highest seed playing in the first round to have a pretty easy game. But its not unheard of for the Pioneer to win.
The Ivy doesn't use tiebreaker so I wonder how the winner is chosen. Columbia got a lot of press coverage for winning a share of the title.
